I like the stand. I do have to be a little careful putting my alto sax on the stand so that it doesn't tip over. I thought I would also be able to use it for my alto recorder, sadly no. The part for a clarinet is too big for my recorder. Regardless, it's nice to have a stand for my sax.

It's easy to assemble, it's sturdy, and it doesn't scratch the saxophone. I've been playing sax prfessionally since the 1960s, and this is my new favorite sax stand.

    • Wobbly and poor design
The bottom bracket rests right against the keyguard on our Yamaha instrument, making the entire thing unstable and wobbly, and likely to slip out and fall to the side. There are only two positions for the lower bracket, and neither position works. The higher position rests against the keyguard, the lower position rests too low on the bow and presses against one of the keys. Bottom line, it just doesn't hold it in a sturdy way.     • Saxophone doesn’t sit in tightly
Very loose firing saxophone doesn’t sit it tightly. Had been playing on stage and someone reached over for a mic and touched my saxophone and it fell down…. Disappointed very much. How a cheap stand can damage a $3,500.00 saxophone.
