  • Smooth, Precise Liner That Really Lasts
Color: Melted Onyx (deep matte black)
I decided to try this Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Stick Eyeliner for several reasons. First, it’s made by Urban Decay. I’ve used several of their eye products and have been very happy with them. It also checks most of the boxes I look for in an eyeliner: waterproof, smudge-resistant, and includes a blending tool, in this case a brush. I was a little concerned about the “liquid” part of the name since I haven’t had great experiences with liquid eyeliners, but this one was a pleasant surprise. The liner tip is angled and super thin, which makes it easy to draw a precise, fine line. You could also build it up for a thicker look, but thin is what I prefer. It’s not really a liquid at all. It applies more like a stick with a very soft, smooth consistency, which makes application so easy! The brush is soft but firm enough to soften and blend the line. Just be sure to blend quickly before it sets, because once it dries, it really stays put all day. That was a big plus for me. The shade I received is Melted Onyx, described as a deep matte black. Extra points for the matte finish, since I don’t like shiny liner. I do like the color, especially after blending, but I wish there was a charcoal option, as pure black can look a bit harsh on my fair skin. At $26, it’s a little pricey for my taste, but that’s in line with other Urban Decay products. If you don’t mind paying for higher-end cosmetics, this is an eyeliner I would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Beautiful Color Payoff
Color: Dirty Martini (metallic olive)
Beautiful eyeliner. Goes on extremely smooth and pigmented, there is no need to go over an area to get even color payoff. It does dry down relatively quickly, probably within about a minute it is almost fully smudge proof so that is something to keep in mind if you are wanting to smoke it out with the brush. It is long lasting, it had no problem staying put through a full day. The Dirty Martini color is very pretty. To the reason for a star deduction, the value. This is currently $26 and there is a rather small amount of product for that price, even among higher end makeup brands. As I stated it does only take a swipe so in theory it should last a bit longer than if it was a more waxy consistency that needed to be built up, but I still think the price is higher than what I would be willing to pay. ... show more

  • Even smooth application, lasts for hours
Color: Dirty Martini (metallic olive)
I wouldn’t say this is a liquid, but more of a sleek solid. For example, the product is not capable of dripping. The tip is a twisting barrel that can be used either vertically or horizontally . The direction in which it is applied determines a thicker vs thinner line or shape drawn. On the opposite end there is a capped blend brush. The brush is precise, but also fluffy at the same time. The whole thing sounds like the design contradicts itself, but it actually is a pretty cool utility all-in-one. The color I got was like a grayish olive color, which is flattering to my amber eyes and fair complexion. The liner stayed on without any smudging (no primers/setters), for 5 hours, before I washed my face for bed. I’d say it would last longer, but I haven’t texted it past 5 hours yet. The actual color applied as smooth as butter. I did the thicker line with some clear mascara, which passes for conservative. Urban Decay Cosmetics are known for bold looks and colors, but don’t let that intimidate you if you prefer a lighter more natural look. This liner and brush combo allows you the choice to choose a more toned refined look or a more bold dramatic look. Very happy with this product. You really do get what you pay for, plus some. This is a worth while blind buy or splurge. ... show more

  • Rich Color with Great Staying Power
Color: Brown Noise (deep matte brown)
This eyeliner goes on very smoothly with a liquid-like feel, making it easy to create clean, precise lines. The formula is highly pigmented, so you get rich color in a single pass. Once it sets, it has excellent staying power. It is waterproof and does not smudge, even after hours of wear. The design of the stick is well thought out. One end features a retractable, angled tip that allows you to control the thickness of your line depending on how you hold it, whether you want something thin and subtle or bolder. The other end has a small blending brush, which is great if you want to soften the look. Just keep in mind that the liner dries quickly, so you will want to blend right away if that is your goal. Despite how well it wears, removal was easy. It washed off without any trouble at the end of the day. I have been an Urban Decay fan for years, and this eyeliner definitely lived up to my expectations. ... show more

  • It works, but a little pricey.
Color: Brown Noise (deep matte brown)
It's wouldn't call it a full 24 hour wear, but it does have strong staying power, and I believe it would survive an event (party, work, going out, etc.) long enough for it to be worth investing in. This waterproof eyeliner glides on like a dream (very buttery when applied), but once it's on, it's on. You can smudge it, and move it around, but it's not lifting easily. Thankfully, you can use your typical micellar water and it comes off immediately with no issue, though. As a bonus: I also tried it on my eyebrows, believe it or not, and found that it works just as well. So, it's multipurpose which is a nice surprise for an eyeliner. But, I would hope to get my money's worth given that it's a whopping $26 at the time of this review. So, in terms of usability I would recommend it. Price wise... I think it's a bit pricey for just a small eyeliner. You're going to burn through it -- trust me. That being said, I am a big fan of Urban Decay and own a ton of their eye shadows, but I'd really like to see even a small price reduction or a coupon option occasionally to make it more affordable. ... show more

  • Urban Decay is always a favorite but… very pricey
Color: Solar Flick (duochrome copper)
As far as value for money goes…. This is a very small amount of product. Like… tiny. So the cost of this product seems very high for what you receive. That’s why I docked 2 stars. The premise of a “liquid stick” is very interesting and unique. It does seem to glide on like a liquid. Easy to blend with the (also very tiny) brush. I love the copper chrome color. But not sure it’s worth the high price to buy again. ... show more
