    • Great way to simplify setup
Style: Bluetooth Ultimate Pattern Name: Receiver
First, I would like to address buying a used product from Amazon. I purchased the Alto Ultimate with the condition described as: "Used - Very Good. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." I received a large cardboard box with a small clear plastic baggie containing the Alto. Nothing else except for paper padding. No charging cord, no instructions. By the time I purchased a charge cord I saved a whopping $4 USD. Whoopie! Now on to the product review.... I am an audio professional, with over 40 years of TV broadcast and sound reinforcement experience. I will not bore you with response and distortion specs. This is not a straight wire. It does color the audio. If the intended use involves an area with 500 people, each with a cell phone, then you had better have a backup plan. So what can it do? Well if a performer wants to play tracks from a laptop controlled by the drummer, then that can be set up wirelessly in about a minute. How about a church "Kid-Fest" with a bouncy castle and other activities? You want sound from speakers that cover the area but don't want a bunch of XLR cables that have to be taped down. Specifically, a non-critical activity where you can use very good audio with a bit of latency. I really like having a couple of these in my tool box for a quicker setup and strike. My wish list: Wish there was a clipping LED to make setup even easier. And a way to turn off that ridiculous signal loss beep. In summary, the sound is very good and works great in many situations. Just have an XLR cable ready just in case. ... show more

Studio-level quality. It adds a slight lift and sounds excellent, without the need for high volume. Very comfortable to use. It connects to a dedicated channel, with independent control over all effects, completely separate from the other channels. I’m really enjoying this product.

This thing is awesome! I do live sound for a couple of bands and generally play music prior to a gig and during break between sets. I used to tie into a stereo out with a split cable from my phone into the mixer. The problem I found was that I really couldn't eq the stereo output on my mixer. With the Alto Bluetooth I plug into an open channel and have eq as well as effects if I want to add a bit of dynamics to the mix. Very clear sound, plenty of headroom for volume and one less cable to deal with. I charge the unit up once a week and it's ready to go. All in all, it's one of my better purchases. ... show more

    • "Searching" beep when paired device disconnects, cannot be muted. Great deal besides that!
Style: Bluetooth Ultimate Pattern Name: Receiver
Good range, good battery life, good sound quality. Docking one star because of the searching peep when your paired device disconnects, that seemingly cannot be muted.

    • Great Bluetooth Receiver
Style: Bluetooth Ultimate Pattern Name: Receiver
I absolutely LOVE this! The sound quality is amazing. Sometimes with Bluetooth you can lose audio quality. However, with this device, there is no loss of quality. The range is phenomenal. I've been 200 feet away from this with objects in the way of the direct signal and it still works. The battery lasts as long as is advertised. It's definitely worth the price. ... show more

    • Fantastic sound quality.
Style: Bluetooth Ultimate Pattern Name: Receiver
Yes...I did give this 5 stars as the over all quality and performance of this device, however, for this decice to get the quality needed it has to be on 2 channels working in stereo. You can do the stereo thing with getting the extra device to connect both stereo or the other option is to connect another XRL to the second channel for the same effect. Mono....Ewe. Haha! Overall in stereo beautiful sound reproduction and GREAT to use on a solo gig using backing tracks. Hope this helps! **UPDATE 1/06/2023** After of a year of using this device, it has been outstanding in sound quality. The work around for having two devices for stereo is to use 2 XLR cables on the device and connecting them with a Y jack so you can use one channel on the soundboard and still have a great stereo sound. ... show more

    • Can’t say enough good things…
Style: Bluetooth Ultimate Pattern Name: Receiver
I have been a DJ for over 25 years. When I do a wedding, I often set up two separate sound systems, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. The ceremony system is usually a small mixing board connected to a device to play the background music, while the guests are arriving, and the ceremony music, while the wedding party is walking down the aisle. This device replaces virtually everything except for the speakers. It is super simple to install. You simply plug it into the XLR jack on the back of your speaker. Syncing it to my iPhone was as simple as connecting a Bluetooth device. I had music playing in less than 30 seconds. I am literally gushing over this item. It can be run with a single speaker with both left and right signals going through one channel, or you can run the XLR cable off the back to a second speaker, and have independent left and right channels. This will make my set up and tear down so much faster without sacrificing sound quality. I have yet to run the battery down. If you have a Bluetooth compatible laptop, you can also run sound through your DJ software to the device as well. Then you could use it as a wireless mixer. You simply control the volume off of your device or set it to an appropriate level on the speaker. I wish this device existed 20 years ago. ... show more
