Nice conditioner, I don't shampoo so I ask a lot of my conditioner. I love the product, hate the packaging. The pump broke immediately. And the tube is about an inch shorter than the bottle.

I'm a busy mom... and seriously... who has time for their whole hair care routine every day? I tend to eek out every bit of extra time I can buy between washes with an excessive amount of dry shampoo and hairspray... Which is really hard to remove entirely from my hair with just shampoo. Most of the time, by the time I go to actually wash it and try to get all the product out of my hair I have to shampoo it two or three times to get it all out. I decided to try the New Beginnings Exfoliating Cleanser to see if it could make a dent in all this mess. Honestly, in the shower it about made me lose my mind. I struggled to get it to work all the way through my hair because it doesn't lather up quite like a shampoo would. After fighting with it for a while, I just used regular shampoo first and then tried the exfoliating cleanser and then it was easier to work through. It made my hair feel extremely dry and snarly in the shower... As in, my hair was so tangled that I had to work for about 10 minutes in the shower to get the knots out after using this product. I really wasn't super happy and found myself grumbling that I probably wouldn't be making the mistake of putting this dang stuff in my hair again. I finally removed most of the snarls and followed it up with the everyday conditioner, which my hair just drank up. It has a lovely light fragrance with a medium amount of moisture. After I got out of the shower I patted my hair dry with a towel and applied the air dry balm, which felt lovely. My hair can tend to get a bit frizzy if I don't blow dry it. The air dry balm really helped cut the frizz and my hair dried quite nicely. I was pretty impressed. It wasn't until after my hair had dried that I noticed that my hair feels cleaner than it has since I was a carefree 20-something who had time to shower every day. Honestly, I was about ready to chuck the whole bottle of exfoliating cleanser in the trash when my hair was a snarled mess in the shower, but by George, that crazy stuff scrubbed out every last hint of leftover dry shampoo out of my hair! It took until my hair was dry and squeaky clean for me to like the exfoliating cleanser, but it really did get my hair crazy clean! I feel like these products are a bit pricey for the small size of the bottle you get, but my hair does feel nicer than it has in quite some time. If the exfoliating Cleanser was easier to apply and these products were slightly less expensive, I would definitely be a fan. ... show more

I can't use any conditioner because of my dry hair. After a bit of searching, I found this product. The first thing that caught my attention was the price of the product, which was a bit high due to its volume. Anyway, I used it and I think it has a good quality. After using it, I noticed a pleasant smell that stays on the head for a long time. Because my hair is dry, I have to use sulfate-free products to remove all the grease from my hair and scalp, and this conditioner is exactly what I want. The Alterna Vegan Caviar My Hair My Canvas Hair Care "Me Time" Every Day Conditioner is quite possibly one of my all time favourite hair conditioners to date. I've just started using it this week for the first time ever, and I can't get enough of it. Here's what I've noticed: - PACKAGING: This conditioner comes with a pump that is easy to use, and prevents me from overusing product. Normally I pour a huge blob of conditioner into my hand, but I'm using it much more sparingly since this has a pump, and it's lasting longer. - SCENT: Very fresh unique smell. Not quite minty, not quite floral. I'm not sure what it is, but it smells expensive, and lingers very gently on my hair, so that it's detectable if I actually smell my hair, but not so overpowering so that it wafts off of my head to attract bees or anything like that. - CONDITIONING: I really like the conditioning power of this product. It's not too little or too much, and it leaves my hair feeling soft and adequately conditioned, without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. I normally have oily roots and long blonde dry ends, and I can use this product root to tip, and end up with really beautiful, soft, evenly shiny hair throughout. I'm super-impressed with the Me Time Every Day Conditioner from Alterna. I will definitely be checking out more of their products, and plan to splurge and purchase this conditioner going forward. ... show more

I was not impressed with this conditioner. It left my hair okay feeling, but nothing to really get excited about. The conditioner also smells heavily in what I can only describe as citronella scent meets lemon-verbena or something in that wheelhouse. It has a small minty scent mixed in. It's a familiar scent that sort of reminded me of tiki candles or bug spray. It wasn't great. I can't figure out which ingredient is the culprit, but I suspect it's parfum. I wet my hair and applied the conditioner. The pump on this doesn't pop up like most pumps and instead is already in the ready position as soon as it's taken out of it's blister. It's a small bottle, not a great value. The pump doesn't put much product out at a time either. I felt like I got about a nickels worth of product, which might work for short hair, but not for women like me with two or three feet of hair. While my hair was wet, the conditioner detangled nicely so it had that going for it, but on my lower scalp and my neck, it felt tingly and not in a refreshing way. I was eager to get it rinsed off. It also left the tub feeling slick when I rinsed it. I sprayed afterwards to be careful, as I know conditioners can be slick but this one was a step above the rest. The scent after my hair was dry was vague, thankfully, but even muted down it isn't my favorite. I was ultra disappointed in this conditioner. I was only happy with the detangle while it was wet in the shower, and only just okay with the texture once rinsed and dried. I wouldn't purchase this again. There are better vegan options out there.
