Does an amazing job of keeping my thick, wavy hair frizz-free when I blow dry it straight in humid weather. I like that it isn't overloaded with fragrance (like Oribe). I've tried so many products through the years: Kerastase Nectar Thermique, Oribe Supershine Cream, Garnier Sleek and Shine serum, Kerastase Oleo Relax, several of the Giovanni serums and glosses. This trumps them all!!!! I decided to buy this after seeing all of the positive reviews from people who live in humid climates. NYC summers are super humid as well. If you struggle to find a blow dry product that keeps your hair from frizzing up, you need this. I would say to use a good amount though. At first I only used a dime size amount because I read the reviews about how potent it is. I probably use 2 quarter size amounts total, one on each side of my head. It may feel like you have a bit too much product on at first, but your hair absorbs it (if you have thick hair like me). Highly recommend finishing with Alterna's Anti Frizz oil from the same line (same lilac packaging). Smells amazing and gives a nice gloss. Best of all: I have no itchy scalp or irritation from this product. It doesn't make my hair or scalp feel overly dirty. And I don't need touch ups! ... show more

I love all of the Caviar products. All of them do what they say they will and leave your hair smelling great all day! I noticed that when I used this my hair had less fly aways. The time it took to smooth out my hair with the curling iron was not near as long as without using the product. My hair felt really nice, not heavy or oily at all. A little of the butter goes a long ways. I applied it only to the ends of my hair. I have extremely long hair and it didn't weight it down either! The next morning my hair still smelled great and looked better than normal bed-head! ... show more

    • Blow out Butter
This blowout butter comes in a substantial size tube. The directions are to use a small amount. It would have been nice if the description was more like "...use a small dab about the size of a dress shirt button". On the first try I had a dab that was absolutely not small enough. So I washed it out and started over! I used a very small amount, made sure I rub the cream into my palms until any white had dissolved and become more like an oil, then only applied it to the very ends of my hair. It worked much better then. My ends felt nice and smooth but I wish there had been something to make the rest of my hair feel good too. The package does say for medium to thick hair. Perhaps my hair is not within that suggestion. It's fine but full so this may work better for someone with thicker hair. ... show more

I received this from my mom who found it in a discount bin somewhere and it turned out to be the best hair product I've found in the last half decade. I've since committed to seeking it out on Amazon and purchasing it full price for myself:) I have loose, shoulder-length curls that gravitate toward frizziness. I dispense about a large-pill sized amount on my hands and run my finger through my wet hair and "poof" fluff it in... as it's drying I continue to scrunch it every 5-10 mins until the curls are set. I'm so glad I read the reviews and decided to try this even though I thought it was pricey, I love the way it comes out as a cream, rubs to oil and makes my summer frizzy ends drink this up and look so much softer . Worth the price for sure.
