So this is supposed to be a bond repairing shampoo similar to O.la.plex and Pro.nexa products. I can never tell how well they work compared to regular shampoos because I don't use them anymore! When you switch to products like this you won't switch back either. This shampoo is thick! You don't need much. Spread it between your palms and enjoy the slip. Yes, it has slip similar to a good conditioner. It's gooey so you need to spread it and scrub your roots a little then tip your head back into the spray and wet it a tiny but to spread it to the tips of your hair. This isn't an uncommon procedure for higher end shampoos. This shampoo is slippy, in a good way. It feels like the way okra gets slimy after you cook it. It's very nourishing for your hair even without bonder technology. I like the smell or lack thereof. There isn't a strong perfumey smell like a lot of beauty care products have. I hate overly scented products so this is a pro in my column. The only issue I had was hilarious. I couldn't figure out how to get it open in the shower. You twist the silver ring then squeeze...HARD. Since it's thick you do need a good grip to squeeze. I twisted it back shut after. It doesn't look like it will leak but I closed it anyway so I could keep it upside down. Overall I really really like this shampoo and will likely order it again. After deciding to allow my natural, graying hair to come in and stop coloring my hair, I went to my stylist and asked for help in making that transition. Unfortunately in that process, my hair became more damaged than it had been by coloring alone. A bond restructuring product that starts with an "O" was used by my stylist and recommended to me to use at home. I liked it, but it was expensive, and I started looking at alternatives. This product is along those same lines. It promises to restructure bonds that build strength and smooth the cuticle of damaged, processed hair. I used this on my now natural hair. No processing for 18 months and all the colored hair has been cut out of it. My hair is healthy, but it tends to be dry. It's thick, curly, and 50% gray. I used the Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Restructuring Bond Repair Shampoo and found it to have a pleasant scent, lathers well, and rinses leaving hair feeling smooth and moisturized. I think this product is best for those with thick to normal hair, and used in concert with a similar conditioner and weekly hair mask. Damaged hair is not going to look "new" using this, but over time, it might help to smooth your hair's cuticle and help your hair avoid further breakage with sustained use. ... show more

This shampoo and conditioner is nice. It smells good and it cleaned and conditioned my hair well. However, I didn't see any real difference from a cheaper drug store product of the same description.
