Keep in mind — this is a SOLO miner, not designed for pool mining. Its lower hash rate makes it what’s known as a “lottery miner”, meaning you’re taking a shot at finding a block on your own (and that’s part of the fun!). As another reviewer mentioned, you wouldn’t profit by pool mining with this device. That said, the NerdQAxe++ is an excellent piece of hardware for anyone interested in open-source Bitcoin mining. It’s based on the BitAxe open-source project, and the software/UI are both polished and easy to work with. False advertising. They claim it draws 72 watts, but it really draws 85-90watts. I returned the item. I have never been so grateful for Amazon’s return policy in my life. My advice to anyone looking at this product, get ANYTHING else. This particular software is terrible in the sense it’s very limited and does not allow certain customizable settings most others do. It generates roughly $7.50 a month and costs just under $10 in electricity. You loose with this If you read the gentleman’s post above mine, where he is so happy with his “lottery miner”; I encourage you to do a basic google search on the probability of hitting a BTC block with 4.8 Th/s. Statistically speaking, you have a better chance of being struck by lightning twice in the same day. He is absolutely entitled to his opinion, and I’m glad he’s happy. For those of us who don’t want to throw money away for no reason, this might not be the right product for you. ... show more
