I purchased a large for my wife, as that is the size she typically wears in jackets. It came in and was entirely too small. So I returned it and ordered an XL, thinking surely this would fit. The XL came in and fit no differently; the bottom circumference was fine, but the shoulders and arms were tight and short. If she raised her arms parallel to the floor the sleeve would ride up to her elbow. The stitching around her torso and back was too tight as was the large. So I had to return again, this time having to pay for shipping. I re-ordered a XXL, thinking this is crazy, my wife is not a 2XL, but figured this one had to fit. It came in this week and the same issue remains. The sleeves are too short and tight and the stitching around the bust and back is tight. But the length of the jacket is longer, and the very top of the shoulder has too much fabric. As you can see from the pictures, the stitches for her sleeves are level with her bust, rather than going the length of her arm (closer to the armpit). Now I have to pay for shipping once again. I would not recommend this jacket to anyone. It says on the label 'Made in China'...go figure . ... show more

    • A nice coat that didn't fit well

This coat felt really nice, with really soft fabric and I wish it had fit well, but it didn't. I am 5'5" and 120lbs and based on reviews I ordered a size medium. It seems to be the correct size around my chest, waist and hips, but the arms don't fit at all. The arm length is very short. The bigger problem is how it fits through the upper arm area. The underarm area (the armscye) is cut very very low and so you can't move your arms without the entire upper part of the coat feeling tight and just very odd. Also, it has a very wide collar and it does not have a button by the collar to button up if it is very cold out. This is probably ok because the coat is not that warm and I probably wouldn't wear it for anything colder than about mid 40's Fahrenheit. Overall, I wanted to like the coat, but the fit was so uncomfortable that I am returning it. ... show more

I love this coat! The fit is perfect (size large) and the sleeves are just right though some reviews stated otherwise. I recently wore it in New Orleans and I was nice and warm. I like the cinched waist as well and I get lots of compliments whenever I wear it. I'm giving it 4 stars because it does pick up lint or cat hairs easily. I like the feel and weight of this peacoat. I bought it for my mom for Christmas. I expected to receive it Dec 24th and it cane several days early, which I was incredibly thankful for because that was cutting it very close! The material feels wonderful and it is the perfect thickness. The buttons are well attached and it was exactly what my mom wanted! I did purchase an XL, when I would normally have purchased the L because the reviews said it ran a little small, which I have to agree with. It fits exactly like a Large would fit.
