The media could not be loaded. We have done a rework in our backyard and wanted a water feature for the corner. If you are looking at this fountain you are probably looking for something on the larger side that is relatively "natural" looking. I will do my best to point out pros and cons, but know that ultimately we are very happy. This was a great purchase and the perfect fit for our backyard project. This is about as large as you are going to get without having to build your own pond/waterfall, and Amazon has (or had as of this review) a good price. In fact we found this fountain somewhere else first for more than double the price. It originally didn't show up in our search on Amazon because for some reason it was categorized as an indoor fountain. I only found it by searching the brand name. I submitted feedback so maybe they have corrected by the time you see this. Construction - Overall we are very happy with the construction of this fountain. The material feels solid, does not seem to chip easily, and seems fairly accurate in terms of fitting together right. At one point during setup two pieces banged together harder than I would have liked and I was happy to see no chipping or paint rub off. Appearance - Once again overall we are very happy. It definitely passes the "glance" test meaning that if you just look across the backyard (notice wider angle picture I included) it does not stand out as obviously fake or out of place. I would say on a scale from 1-10 where 10 looks absolutely genuinely "real" this is a solid 7-7.5, as good as you can really be for a shippable fountain. The exception to this of course is the LED lighting which can be seen pretty easily and are obviously not natural. They did do a fairly decent job of trying to hide the LEDs and wires behind where the water flows most heavily, but I may end up doing my own additional work to hide them further. Setup - This item ships in one giant box and is separated into several pieces that you place and stack. The biggest piece is the entire bottom tier of the fountain. I am a 6'4" male and was able to lift this by myself and position it reasonably. However, you will need a second person for one piece of setup. Essentially the top tier of the fountain sits on a boxy hollow bottom piece. The tubing and power cable from this top piece has to be routed down into that piece and through a hole into the bottom tier of the fountain, then the top piece needs to be positioned carefully so that notches line up. I don't see how you would reasonably do this by yourself, but it was easy with my wife helping. Also while setting up you will need to connect the black lighting cable that was routed into the bottom piece to a cable already inside the bottom piece. If you miss this step and then fill the fountain I imagine you could do irreversible damage to the electronic components so if you're like me and rarely read instructions, be careful. The most inconvenient part of setup is actually getting rid of the shipping materials. Giant styrofoam pieces and a giant cardboard box. The styrofoam alone could easily fill an entire large size residential trash can. Function - We have had this running for about a week now and it runs great. A few days after installing my wife had her book club in the backyard and I had to force them to call it around midnight on a weeknight because they were refusing to leave the backyard "but it's just so nice back here we don't want to go back to the real world." Sorry neighbors... We received several compliments about how nice the ambiance created by the solo stove (included in one of the pictures), the Edison lights which you can see along the back fence, and the fountain were. Two different people said they were inspired to rework their own backyard. Now the big negative....the pump included with this water fountain is essentially worthless. It is so loud that it is actually louder than the water sound. It also pumps the water so fast that out of the box this fountain is less babbling brook sound, and more flowing creek. I have included a video that hopefully gives you a decent idea of the sound. This is (hopefully) easily solved as there are several pumps on Amazon for less than $30. Personally I chose a variable speed pump that specifically mentions quiet function. I have not yet installed it, but plan to do so this weekend. In conclusion, money well spent even with a noisy pump. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to respond!

Gorgeous fountain! This is way better than all of the fountains at our local hardware store! When we first set it up we saw our neighbors walking up to their home & they just stopped & stared! They came over later & couldn’t believe how gorgeous it is! I am highly impressed! We live on a loud road & I wanted this to help drown out noise & add some peace. We like it so much we want more fountains now! Better than the photos!

We purchased it through Amazon in March with a problem, and the customer service department responded immediately with a solution. We are extremely happy with how Alpine’s Customer Service helped us out. It was delivered in a timely manner from Amazon. It is the perfect highlight to our landscaping. The mesmerizing, peaceful, flow of the water adds so much ambiance to our back yard. We enjoy it every evening and it is especially appreciated by our guests, when we entertain. The media could not be loaded. After looking through several styles from various manufacturers I found this one to be the best looking for our space. Was worried after reading some reviews about arrival of the product. My experience was excellent. It was delivered by scheduled delivery that was more like movers. Box arrived no damage and delivered to my garage. It was packaged well by the manufacture protected well by bulk styrofoam. Easy to assemble and has a large quality pump. Lights wiring is very heavy duty too. I expect this to last a long time. As for how beautiful it looks and sounds…the video is worth a thousand words. Also I’ve been told every day since installing it 2 weeks ago, how much my wife loves it.

The media could not be loaded. I own quite a few Alpine water fountains, but this one is by far my new favorite now. I was a bit concerned about the size and handling it alone, but it comes in three pieces (packed on one HUGE box). The top section -- another section the top section sits on, and then the main bottom section that has the water reservoir. It took me less than 15 minutes to set up and about 5 minutes or less to fill. It has a very realistic sound like a small stream in the woods and is very well made. I added an extra LED light in the bottom section as the 3 LEDs it comes with don't light it up enough for my taste. Some reviewers stated that the motor is really loud. As long as you set the pump on the bottom of the reservoir on the rubber feet that are at the bottom of the pump, the pump itself is not very loud. I did hear what I thought was the pump getting loud and I realized it was the sliding door on the side that was causing the humming noise so I put a piece of felt between the door piece and fountain and the hum stopped. For such a fast flowing fountain, splash it extremely low -- hardly any water splashes so I haven't had to add more water in over 3 weeks. I made sure the adjustment knob on the pump is set to full power so I get the full fast flow of the water. If you don't open the flow up all the way on the pump, you're also more likely to get a hum. Best fountain purchase ever!
