This is the best indoor fountain. Beautiful. Rock and solid made. Shipped carefully. • Three LED lights—add your own stone pebbles to dim light. • VERY Important: You MUST Buy the remote switch sold here on Amazon to avoid plugging in and out of electric socket so you will not "complain" like a stupid customer. • Simply connect pump to tube, make sure suction cup faces down add water, switch and voila. • You are LAZY to add water, so ADD ICE CUBES! • All fountains will accumulate muck and algae—this will cause the water to slowly trickle. You might like it. But you might miss the noise water. Lazy Solution: ADD BLEACH and it will trickle the water sounds again. (THANK GOD) There is no water splash, only two or three raindrops. Remember children: No fountain in this world can avoid splashing unless you have the power of the gods to control wind and water. Best Solution: get two unused credit cards and slip them under the frontal edge to tilt the fountain back. This will kill any water splashing. Twinkle sounds are beautiful. • Just remember: LED bulbs don't last forever, expect them to die at some point. Fair price for a beautiful fountain. Àdd a religious / spiritual figure on top to enhance visual effect. Again BUY the remote switch on Amazon and use the old credit cards to tilt fountain. Add a cup of bleach to water to kill water bacteria / algae. Water refill every 5 days. Either use mineral distilled water to avoid algae or use / add bleach to kill bacteria. This is an awesome / beautiful waterfall with a few life hacks. FYI, holds a little over 1/2 a gallon. Helpful tips: Use rocks to stop any splashing (credit to another reviewer). I used amethyst stones which look great with the lights underneath. Had a hollow dripping sound from inside. Easy fix, take a sealed snack bag with a little air in it and stuff it inside. Also, a small serving tray to catch spray / protect surfaces. ... show more

This arrived and had holes allowing the water to access the electrical wiring. There was a broken circle in the box that looked like a stopper that failed. Also it came with no instructions. The return has been lengthy, lasted two weeks and I still haven’t received the money back in spite of UPS confirmation that they received it. This could have been a serious accident. I have attached the photo showing where my finger is in the hole showing where the water would go in to where the wiring is. ... show more

    • PROBLEM NOW RESOLVED RE: didnt work after 5 hours of intermittent use
intended for the yard this was used on 4 occasions and for about 1 hour each time. Then suddenly it stopped working and after troubleshooting found out the power pack AC adapter failed. Looking to contact either customer service or the company to see if a replacement is possible before sending this back within the return date at the end of July. After contacting the company, I was told a replacement would be sent and they requested that I added a follow up to my review.( which is what I am doing now) However it has been some time since I communicated with them and to date I have not received a replacement. If I do, I will gladly write another follow-up to this review because I believe any company should be complimented when customer satisfaction is their priority. FOLLOW UP AND UPDATED REVIEW: After much waiting, I am glad to report that this company of Alpine Fountains has resolved my problem at a much higher level than anticipated or expected. I once again have a working fountain and can honestly say that as a consumer, who has often dealt with customer service reps, this company stands by their intergrity and promises and puts the customer first. The media could not be loaded. I work from home full time in my office and am on a lot of conference calls so I knew I wanted something that was quiet, yet loud enough for me to hear it in the background. I did a lot of research before buying a fountain. I wanted something that was small enough for a desk/bookshelf, realistic looking, didn't sound like running water that would make me have to pee constantly, was quiet yet loud enough to be relaxing, and didn't splash all over the place. I read the reviews on this one before purchasing, and took the advice of a previous reviewer and bought some river rocks before the fountain was delivered. I tried out different placements of the rocks around the fountain and found the perfect setting to make my ideal "flowing water" sound- The river rocks completed this fountain! I tried out different pump power levels and ended up on the 2nd from the lowest setting and it's absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone- for personal use or a gift! ... show more

My son likes waterfall sounds so this really works great. There's a water flow adjustment on the little pump inside the unit so play with that. Couple things that could be a little better, the top side waterfall hole only has a small stream of water that comes out but the main one is great. The lights are a little bright facing straight up if it's too bright, put a small rock or colored crystal over the light a little to tone down the brightness a bit. And it does splash a little but not a lot, so put it somewhere with a little pad or towel in front of it until you get use to it and get the adjustments all set for you. AND most importantly, go buy an extention cord that has a switch on 1 end and plug the waterfall into the cord then the cord into the wall so you use a switch to turn the waterfall on and off. If you dont, you have to unplug it to turn it off, which is bad. The extention cord with switch works perfect!! ... show more
