    • We liked it so well, we bought a second
We added a second and third pond over the hill from our original 1996 main pond, connecting them with a stream bed. We needed a pump that would be able to pump 25' length and at a 4' elevation. This pump did the job well, providing the perfect amount of flow to the stream. We decided to buy a second pump for a new main pond K1 media filtration system. My calculations for the water volume should have been correct between filter unit 1 and 2 using 1" input and 1-1/2" pvc output. However, the water volume supplied by the pump quickly overwhelmed unit 1 with spillover. I actually had to design a two-way splitter with 1" valves. 50% of the pond water flows through filtration and 50% gets sent directly back into the pond. No fault of the pump necessarily as my flow rate calculations may have been off. I like the way this pump is designed. Its top output port works well for our deep main pond. I am going to add a 90° silicone elbow to the original pump to help conceal the hose better. The pond is a bit too shallow to conceal the hose coming straight up. ... show more

Good all around except one flaw - The face plate that keeps out bigger debris from clogging the input keeps falling off. It doesn’t snap in place just loosely rests in place. I don’t like to keep digging in the pond to put it back on.

I have two identical fountains with a waterfall. Each fountain has its own pump and in-pond water filter. I am using them outside the fountain. They are super quiet and powerful. I hope they last.

    • Fish pond aerator.
Same as the one I got from Harbor freight that broke after a couple uses. This has a 3 year warranty instead of 1 year and cost about $40 more. Hope it lasts longer than the other one did. It says that it doesn't have to be submerged but can't be run dry.

the pump I was replacing was a 1500 GHP I placed a ball valve in line with the output to reduce to output. and it works great.
