  • Quality Purchase, Life Easier!
Style: 5200 GPH
Would I buy it again? Absolutely! This being my second PAL 5200 Submersible Pump from Alpine Corporation in the past 14 years, I am very pleased with my choice and this product. This pump meets the product descriptions given by the manufacture as selling points to purchase this pump, or a like pump from Alpine. The pump is compact, sturdy, and for as long as they have run, I would say well designed. The pump has performed quite satisfactorily producing the power, flow, and lift that I was needing for 3 fountains, while operating very quietly, almost unheard (it is submerged)! Although a relatively clean pond, deer and birds drink from the raised fountains and leave behind their residual effects which pose no problems for the pump. With heavy minerals in our well water (Hard Water), I surmise that my first pump froze up due to a mineral build-up; otherwise, it is likely the pump would still be running. Having had an issue with my pump, I did contact Alpine Corporation’s Customer Service. Their staff, and especially Ms. Delima, have been extremely helpful and considerate. After providing them with pictures and receipt of past purchase, they have responded quickly, professionally, and with consideration for my dilemma. The fact that you can reach someone at Alpine Pumps (email exchange) is reason alone to use their pumps! Great product! ... show more

  • Great pump
Style: 5200 GPH
As advertised. I have about a 40k gallon pond and have many of these pumps feeding either elevated bogs or waterfalls. So far, they have performed as expected. Great value.

  • A Very Satisfied Buyer!
Style: 5200 GPH
We bought this pump for our Pond in Oct 2021, and it worked great for almost 3 years, with no problems --until a month ago when it stopped working out of the blue. Alpine gives a 3 year warranty on their product, and since it was still under warranty, I filed a claim. I have to say that I haven't encountered such a professional Company like Alpine in a very long time. I say this because of the top notch manner in which Alpine Customer Service (Karen) handled my claim. The whole process was easy to do online, and Alpine responded very quickly to my emails and claim. Within less than 2 weeks ( most of due to my delay) I received word that Alpine would be sending me a BRAND NEW PUMP! ( all I had to do was pay $25 for the shipping! So the bottom line is, I'll always buy Alpine products in the future, because I now TRUST Alpine will honor their warranty commitment, and stand behind their products. It was a good pump, that worked great for me for almost 3 years. ... show more

  • Alpine PAL5200 ran for 13 years!
Style: 5200 GPH
Excellent Pump! I just bought a new Alpine 5200 to replace my 13 year old Alpine 5200. I have a 5000 gal Koi pond and this thing was running 24/7 until last December. It stopped because of a power outage which allowed pieces of the broken bearing to settle and jam up the rotor. What's amazing is that I cleaned out the broken pieces and the pump ran another 7 months! The old impeller and black housing was fine. In pics 2 and 3 you can see the bearing and the broken piece I took out. Ignore the brass washers. I added those to take up the space where the lower 1/8" of bearing was in pieces. I am keeping the old motor housing, impeller, and black housing for spare parts. Next time I might consider buying just the impeller assembly. One more thing, the new pump assembly is an exact fit of the 13 year old one, so no plumbing changes were required. ... show more

  • Great service
Style: 5200 GPH
I bought this pump in July 2023 for my pond and waterfall and it worked great. I took it out of the pond in November before winter set in, stored it in a bucket of water in the garage over the freezing months. In the Spring of this year I installed it and it worked fine, but gradually it lost its flow level until it couldn't move any water at all by August. I reached out to Alpine customer service and Grace was very helpful in getting me an RMA and a new pump. So while I was a little frustrated that it wore out in the one year, Alpine made up for it with great customer service. ... show more

  • Terrible customer service
Style: 4000 GPH
I called the Alpine support number several times on Monday. The phone just rang, not even a recorded message. On Tuesday I sent an email asking about the pump configuration because a common size connection adapter seem to be missing. That evening I received an email from Karen that instructed me to send several pieces of information and photos in order to receive help. Wednesday morning I spent a half hour gathering and providing the requested information. Today is Friday, and I have not had any response at all. My question had to do with installation configuration, so I haven't installed the pump yet. When I get that done, I hope the pump is better that the customer service. ... show more
