  • Small package Big power
Size: 6550 GPH Pattern Name: Pond Pump
Great little pump for our pond and fountain feature. Fountain sits about 10ft higher than the pond, 2 waterfalls and pond is around 10x30ft. This pump does it no problem. I recommend putting the pump in a pump bag though if you have a tree debris issue.

  • Great pump so far!
Size: 6550 GPH Pattern Name: Pond Pump
The media could not be loaded. I’ve only been running this about a week but it moves plenty of water for my 45 foot stream. Great so far!

  • Excellent Value
Size: 6550 GPH Pattern Name: Pond Pump
Excellent pump and GPH for the money. I needed to replace a 5 year old Little Giant WPG-65-PW fountain pump that had developed a ground fault problem. The 5 year old pump replaced another Little Giant pump that also failed after 5 years. These were both well beyond the warranty, so I can't complain. However, I don't enjoy tearing apart the fountain installation to replace pumps and didn't want to do so in another 5 years. I was also looking for increased capacity. The Cyclone Pump seemed to have more than 3 times (6550 GPH) the capacity for a reasonable increase in price, It also seemed to have good ratings. Another great feature found when researching Cyclone Pumps was an estimated cost to run per hour. I did recognize that moving to a different pump or pump model might required different connection or adapting my existing setup. I could use this as an opportunity to simplify the installation. When received, I was also very pleased to see that the Cyclone Pump has a few parts (such as the Impeller) that can be replaced by the owner. There were also additional output adapters to help setup. The pump can be run "out of the water" if you connect an intake water line to an intake connection. This gives you a lot of installation flexibility. However, it must not be run dry without water in the intake line. During installation, I added a mesh pump bag to help keep debris away from the dark blue pre-filter cage. When I first turned it on, the 3x volume of water was more than I expected or my fountain could handle. I added a valve to reduce the flow from the pump. I'm really enjoying the extra capacity, power of the pump and the efficiency. I do hope it has the quality to last at least as long as the Little Giants. At this time after installation and a month of running, the Cyclone Pump has my strong recommendation. ... show more

  • Not truly accurate on flow.
Size: 6550 GPH Pattern Name: Pond Pump
Quick and to the point. Flow is ok. This is replacing a 6 year old dying Little Giant 3500gph pump that, even though uses more power, totally out performs this pump. The flow is disappointing. It is very quiet. Very easy setup. Would not buy again.

  • Very powerful
Size: 6550 GPH Pattern Name: Pond Pump
After more than a year of using this pump, I'm changing my opinion and upping my rating to 5 stars. Not only does it continue to be the most powerful of any pump I have used, some have had higher flow ratings, this pump has lived through what should have caused death a number of times. We have a leak somewhere, and there have been times where this hasn't had enough water to pump, which also means that the motor doesn't have water covering it. For many pumps this means death if not powered off or remedied. I have also come to appreciate that this pump is probably the quietest I have used. It's a minor thing as there are two waterfalls and a river in my setup, but for others it may matter. I haven't measured it's energy usage yet, but I am willing to forgive that it *might* use a little more power than other pumps given it's performance and resilience. It is by far the best pump I have used up to this point, and intend to replace it with the same unit should it fail. This is a very powerful pump. It seems extremely well built so far, and I really like that it has a threaded input. Very useful for using the pump as a vacuum to remove junk from the bottom of pond without draining it. I wish it was a little more energy efficient. It seems on the high side (at least the ratings), compared to pumps of similar capacity. I've gone through 4 different pumps on this pond, and this one moves the most water at the best price, and again, also has the best build quality. ... show more
