We purchased a water fountain from Wayfair a few years ago to help block out street noise while we are sitting on our deck. Unfortunately, it didn't have a very strong sound so last year we invested in this water fountain. We loved it and used it for about two months before we dried it out and stored it in our garage for the winter. When we took it out to use this spring it worked great for a month but then we started to see that the seal was lifting off of the edges and a considerable amount of rust formed in a very short period of time. The paint started peeling off the inside of the fountain as well and getting caught in the filter. I reached out to Alpine and they promptly responded within 24 hours. Their solution was to send me a new unit after I provided proof of purchase and photos but I would have to pay the shipping. The shipping cost came out to be almost as much as the unit itself so we were going to forego the process however, I worked with an excellent customer service representative and they are sending a new unit and waiving the shipping cost since it's been less than a year from our purchase. They have not sent the new unit yet and I am currently waiting for them to follow through on this and will update my review once they do. However, with that said, we love the fountain as it blocks out street noise and everyone comments on how lovely our backyard is with it and out of any company I have worked with, Alpine is definitely exceptional for their customer service and promptness to respond and deal with the issue. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I just got my fountain set up this weekend so here are a few thoughts in no specific order. 1.) as soon as picked up the box it just felt very light based on what I was expecting for a fountain this tall. As I opened the box and pulled out the fountain I was a little put off by how very thin the metal is. Visually it doesn't matter- it's long term durability concerns if it starts rusting. Would not take much rust to completely eat away some of the panels. 2.) Setup was easy. Took like 10 minutes start to finish. Only thing to be aware of is to make SURE you turn the pump all the way to LOWEST flow, and check it submerged in a kitchen sink or bucket to make sure which way you have turned the control on the pump. I turned it the way they wrote in the manual, and thought it was lowest so I was a little bummed when I first turned it on after setting everything up and filling it with water because water was splattering out onto the floor. Not a ton but enough to keep the area around the base completely soaked. I decided to check it again and turned the opposite direction and that made all the difference for the better. The flows on each tier are no perfectly smooth and almost no splashing. A few tiny droplets from time time time but since this is outside it's not even really noticeable (it's on a slate base beside my front door, outside). 3.) As several have mentioned DO NOT REMOVE THOSE BLACK sponge looking baffles!!! They serve a purpose. With those in place the water come out in beautiful smooth sheets. 4.) I added an led light strip to the back of it and it backlights the fountain in the alcove and does look pretty freaking spectacular (SEE VIDEO & PHOTO ATTACHED). If you get one I suggest no longer than 12 feet. I got a 16ft strip and had to double it around 2 passes up and down the back, but again, it looks great. It has a remote and can be set to almost any color you want using Red/Green/Blue adjustments on the remote. Pretty slick. I selected a deep blue & it looks like something you would see in a hotel on Miami Beach. I also got a submersible light with remote for charging colors. 5.) Check prices!! I paid $474 for this fountain in Jun 2021, and as of today, Sep 20, 2021, I see its now just $304!! I would feel a lot better about this fountain at $300 vs $474, but still, It does look perfect for the space and if I get 3-4 years out of it I will be happy. Conclusion: Looks and operates great; slightly lightweight materials give me a little concern for durability. Overall very pleased now that I got the waterflow right! If you can get it close to the $340ish current price I would recommend it. Go for the backlights also! ... show more

Easy to assemble. BUT: like others have said: the water flow effect simply doesn't work, no matter how many times I would try to clean the mesh sponges. The result was a splashy, unattractive mess. After disassembly, I could see rust forming under the joint between top and bottom. I emailed the seller for advice. NO RESPONSE. Too bad, this looks beautiful and if it worked, it could be great. But the execution is so flawed, STAY AWAY!! ... show more

It’s nice. Built well. Super easy to assemble, but even on the lowest pump setting, it makes a huge mess. The catch trays seem to be a few inches too far from each other, so you can’t get a trickle, just rushing water. The water splashes everywhere so I would keep it away from wood decks and furniture. ... show more

    • Elegant fountain with a soothing sound

We bought this water feature to add some decoration and sound to a seating area at our house and really love the way it looks and sounds. Customer service was top-notch and very responsive. A small problem came up a couple months after receiving the fountain and they took care of it promptly!

So here is what I learned about this. It is a great fountain. However, if it is where the wind blows, water goes everywhere. in fact, enough that that water level can drop a couple inches in no time. Here is what I did. Got a piece of glass cut, had a hole put in it and had it tempered. Used framing clips to loosely hold to back. It is loose enough to slip out for cleaning. And last time I cleaned, applied a good amount of Rain-X. It works wonderfully now and very little water spillage. The pictures show it without the glass and then the glass in place. ... show more

Fountain, itself, works well. Pleasing waterfall sound. Easy to assemble. Finish - fair. However, when the fountain is running - even on low flow, water splashes so much that water has to be refilled every 2 or 3 hours. The area around the fountain is soaked.
