I bought this fountain a year ago, and it's still working. Birds like to use it like a drinking fountain, and hummingbirds like to use the little cups to bathe. While this is still working, I've had to troubleshoot it dozens of times. The pump gets clogged sometimes, as do the small holes in the string of cups. I need to pour out all the water when it starts to get too green. And sometimes when I get the pump to start working it gets very loud, like the sound of a coffee grinder, but then it's calmed down after a while. All in all, I like this fountain and I'm glad that it attracts birds. I'd rate it five stars for the aesthetics, but I've dropped it one star for the pump issues I've had to troubleshoot over the year. ... show more

Although I couldn’t use it in my garden (my electric didn’t work…gotta get that fixed!) I DO use it on the counter right next to my kitchen sink now, and the sound is beautiful! (It did take us about 2 days to stop thinking we’d left the sink accidentally running, but now it’s fine.) I WILL say that if we had used it in the garden we would’ve had to REALLY watch the water level and fill it every day. Even in the house it evaporates fairly quickly and I fill it every 3 days or so. I live in a mountain/desert area though, so perhaps in more humid environments it wouldn’t be a problem. I am just glad we tried it out in the house first here. I’d hate to burn up the filter. So just watch that you remember to keep the water level going and you’ll LOVE IT! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We absolutely love this waterfall. It goes with our theme for our front porch beautifully. Quick and easy to put together. I added some rocks at the base for extra decoration. The sound is soothing and seems loud enough as long as there’s not much surrounding noises to interfere. But I’m sure the bigger the waterfall the louder they will be? I prefer to hear the water flowing so that it distracts other surrounding sounds: ) Cons: if placed in an area that isn’t covered by a porch or what not, it does get clogged with debris in the tube line. We initially had it outback in a flower garden area. There are a lot of trees out there so it got some little leaves in it that were trapped in the tube. Easy fix though and worked just fine. I did decide to move it to our front porch under cover and it seems fine now. If you have it in a very sunny location the water will deplete rather quickly. All in all we’re very happy with our new waterfall. ... show more

OMG - I absolutely LOVE this fountain!! I first found this at a national home improvement store, but a bit out of my price range so I decided to see what was available online. I found the exact same thing at Amazon for $25 less! When I ordered it the next day, it was discounted on a special deal, and I ended up saving over $40 off the price at the other place, plus I got free shipping (Prime), and it was delivered in 2 days. In less than 10 minutes from opening the box to plugging it in, it was fully assembled. The motor is very quiet and all you hear is the soothing sound of the flowing water, which can be easily adjusted to a trickle if preferred. It fit very well in my small space but makes a big impression without being over-the-top. Perfect size for small to medium size porch or patio, and you can set it on the ground or on top of a table, because it's only 7 pounds. Very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

Inaccurate website product design descriptions. Product design is top heavy, base too small, causing toppling in any windy condition. Also the base water reservoir too small at ONLY six cups capacity, so there is constant refilling due to design large screen creating excessive splashing, and beware of any dry climate areas with high evaporation and a very small water reservoir. If you forget to refill water daily, you risk burning out the water pump if the water level is too low, which is very easy to happen due to excessive splashing and evaporation. This is all metal and does not have that hollow sound that so many of the fiber ones do. The sound is rather subtle though, so I think it could be OK indoors or a fairly small outdoor space. Mine is on a small outdoor deck. Pretty easy to assemble.

I love my new fountain and the motor is nice and quiet. I bought a can of RUST-OLEUM spray lacquer and sprayed every square inch of the fountain. This will keep it from rusting. I also purchased from Bloom Buster Liquid algae control from Amazon to put in the water. I'm happy with my purchase.
