I got it for my terrarium, but I wouldn't recommend it for that reason because it has a very strong toxic smell and probably not healthy for any kind of living thing to drink out of.

    • Looks good but not a functional piece due to design issues and loud pump.
Product is packaged very well so no damage done during shipment. Looks great and I like that the LED light is just under the bottom water fall area and makes the bottomed basin seem to have a nice glow to it. I've been looking for a fountain that would produce the nice gentle stream water trickle sound and this hits closer than any others I've gotten. I have to give 1 star for the sole reason that in less than an hour, the water basin was empty and the water all over the counter. This was not from a leak be from the splashing of the water out of the basin. I expect a small amount but not for the water to be below safe operating levels within an hour of usage. This could be prevented simply by making the area where the water runs into larger to accommodate the splashing, or making the basin deep enough to accommodate the splashing and still provide adequate water coverage of the pump. The pump is rather noisy as well. If you are going to have this as a decorative piece setting somewhere without the water running, then this is fine. As a functional indoor fountain, I would not recommend this purchase at all and fully intend to send this back. Very upsetting because it is very nice looking but just not functional. ... show more

Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Only had it for a week and it leaks... however I use it in my frog enclosure so it moistens up the soil so I'm not to terrible upset.. its esthetically pleasing, works nicely and I dont hear the pump at all.

DO NOT GET THIS ITEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT. When I first got this fountain, I was happy as a clam. The motor wasn't too loud, the water sound was nice, the LED was nice. It was a great addition to my room and exactly what I wanted. All the 5 star reviews you see here agree, out of the box it's very nice. I've had this fountain for 3 months now and it leaks out everywhere. I made sure to only use distilled water in this to prevent problems and I went out of my way to care for this fountain and I still had problems. I attempted to fix the leak with marine epoxy and was very careful to prep the surfaces and gave it MORE than enough time to properly dry. I was very liberal with it and yet as soon as I filled it back up the leak came back. Save your money. This item is junk. ... show more

Item arrived on time. I was not happy with the price but I wanted this to go inside my bearded dragons enclosure. I used distilled water because it has less calcium in water and calcium in water damages water pumps. So about a week in I had to remove the water pump and clean it real good. Also the water dispates so has to make sure the water level is full on a daily base. The led light are pretty cool which lit up the enclosure at night. Good litte water fall, but thinks is was a little bit pricey. Personally I think 19.99 would have been a decent price not what I paid...but I chose to pay the cost so it is what it is. Would I recommend the waterfall, Yes. The little water pump can be swapped with another one if needed. I purchased a 2 set mini water pump as back up. I used one for my fish tank to add current so the water would push around, better for the tank water. Not explaining the why. If you purchase the little water pumps you can pretty much make your own water fall system it is pretty easy. ... show more

    • Gorgeous and makes almost no noise at all!
This is a lovely fountain that I have in an old aquarium turned into an orchidarium. There are two fountains in my orchidarium to increase the humidity levels in there without my having to mist. It makes very little to no noise at all, flows well and has no leaks or splashes like others that I have. I think this works perfectly for my intended use and is idea for someone looking to add something to a desk, little wardian case, greenhouse or garden, terrace, etc. This is quite small but is beautiful. ... show more

My vet recommended a fountain to enable my cat to drink more water (maybe she likes running water better than bowl water) to curb urinary problems. I bought this fountain because it had more of a faucet flow. The fountain itself came packaged well and was ready to set up, although I rinsed it out really well first. I filled it up from the back first, then plugged it in and poured water in the top until the water was flowing freely (no sucking noises). It works great. Putting pebbles in the top cavity helped quiet the running water sound and putting pebbles in the bottom cavity dulled the quite bright light embedded in the bottom. I've had it a week and she is using it - fingers crossed for less vet visits. ... show more

    • Adorable, but a little difficult to assemble
Getting your fingers into the tiny opening in the back to hook up and arrange the pump and everything was difficult but once it is set up it is great. Water noise a pleasant level for a patio. The reservoir for water is not very large so I have to check it daily for evaporation so the motor doesn't burn out (I have it outside on the patio) I hot glued some silk leaves, added some pebbles, and some moss around the base and it is real cute ... show more
