I bought this as a backup if I lost power but have found it super helpful to plug in anytime I buy more than my regular freezer will hold. It takes a while to figure it out but the longer I have it the more I appreciate its features and quality. I've bought several smaller ones through the years for various purposes and find they are well worth the price. I have not been succesful in keep fresh fruit or vegtables so I stick to freezer mode.

We keep this in our truck on the floor board of the backseat. It’s incredibly quiet!im able to bring drinks and snacks for my kids with zero problems. Wonderful for short or long trips in the car.

I don't know if this was shipped on its side maybe but it has never worked correctly. The panel will NOT let me set any temperature below 5 degrees. (This is with NO divider in, using ONLY as a freezer.) I have an identical unit I used for years as a dual fridge/freezer. I designated that one a fridge only and ordered this one as a freezer only. It has never held proper temperature and I'm pretty certain that I have had food spoil in it at times. I tried several times to email and leave phone messages for customer service and have never received a response. I love my first unit and it has always worked perfectly, but this one is a dud. I was never able to get any assistance with the issues, and it is too late to return it. So I'm stuck with this lemon. I just try to limit the amount of meat in it and the length of time it has to be stored. Very disappointed in Alpicool though.

We bought this portable frig last year and have used it extensively. We boondock alot in Colorado and Arizona, so this has been a big plus for us over trying to keep food cold in a traditional cooler. Works great, sometimes will freeze food in refrigerator section if freezer is set too low, but checking the controls can eliminate that. It has a USB port which we use daily when in camp. Also bought the insulating cover to go with it, which helps maintain even temps and overall condition of the cooler with two large pockets for cords. Great value for the price.

I think the temperature and everything about it is easy to use. I think if you are in hotter weather it would probably be good idea to buy the outer case that goes with it. But I have had it over a month now in Yuma Arizona and it’s working fine. I keep it in basement bay in 40 ft motorhome for extra storage.
