  • Great gift!
Style: Alley Ball
Really fun toy, I bought it for our 9 year old but my husband and I have played with it too:)

  • A fun item, though kids lose interest fast
Style: Alley Ball
This is a solid idea for a toy/game. I really like the ball loading system, where one button loads the ball and then you pull the lever to shoot. It hasn't gotten jammed yet and it's satisfying to shoot. It was also easy to assemble, aside from some challenging to place stickers, and dis-assembles easily. It really could use a storage location for the balls when not in use though, as if you leave them in the trench underneath where they go after entering one of the target holes they will spill out when the item is disassembled. Several of the targets are almost impossible to hit as far as I can tell. So mostly you just hit one or two of the bottom ones, which ends up making the games a bit dull after a while. ... show more

  • Fun for the entire family!!!
Style: Alley Ball
Well there are lots of pros with this alley ball game and not any cons that I can think of. The pros include the following: It is well designed and seems to be manufactured to last for the long haul...It's easy to get the game up and running...everyone in our family agrees that playing it is lots of fun...and the LCD screen tracks our scores. In my humble opinion this alley ball game is more than a great value, and it comes highly recommended from all of us! ... show more

  • Skee-Ball is tons of fun
Style: Alley Ball
This is a fun idea. I got it as a Christmas gift so it hasn’t been opened yet. I love Skee-Ball so this should be a real hit. I’m not sure about at this price point the value of it matches. A critique of this is that the box feels flimsy and is not sturdy, almost washed out having a ‘flat’ appearance. ... show more

  • Endless Arcade Fun on the Kitchen Table
Style: Alley Ball
I received this Alley Ball game as a gift, and it’s been an absolute hit in our house ever since it came out of the box. The lane is surprisingly long for a tabletop game — over 33 inches — so it actually feels like you’re playing a real arcade alley roller instead of some tiny toy. You pull back the spring-loaded handle to control the power, launch the steel ball, and watch it roll toward the numbered pockets while the lights flash and the sounds go crazy. The automatic scoring on the big LCD screen means no arguing over points, and it keeps track for two players perfectly. The kids have been playing it nonstop, either taking turns competing or just trying to beat their own high scores. It’s sturdy enough to handle enthusiastic pulls from little hands, sets up in seconds, and doesn’t take up the whole room like a full-size arcade machine would. Perfect for rainy afternoons or quick games before dinner — we just clear the table and go. Definitely one of those gifts that gets used way more than expected! 🎳✨ ... show more

  • Fun, but has drawbacks explained in full review.
Style: Alley Ball
The media could not be loaded. This could be a five star item with some tweaks. Who doesn’t love ski-ball? This is like a combination of pinball machine/ski-ball in a tabletop version. Albeit, a long tabletop version. But there’s got to be some distance or it wouldn’t be challenging at all. The game takes three AA batteries, so make sure to have some on hand if you’re looking to play straight out of the box. Unfortunately my game arrived with the player button broken - it’s pushed in and down and stuck. I was hoping it would pop out with a push or wiggle but it’s stuck tight. So the game seems to be stuck on one player mode. No matter what we tried, we could never get it on two player. I’m assuming this is a fluke, and other games wouldn’t have that happen, but I do want to note the packaging wasn’t really done in a way to protect anything during shipment. The pieces are wrapped in thin plastic and all in a pretty flimsy cardboard box. The box has a plastic handle which would be convenient for carrying it, if it stayed closed when holding it by the handle, but the box was gaping in numerous places where it should have been tightly glued or taped. What I like: different volume levels - including mute!! The sounds are fun but can get annoying and not conducive to playing when around other people who might be trying to think about something else. The lights stay on even with no volume so that’s cool but I would assume also adds to quicker battery drain. What I don’t like: you push a button to get the ball into place. This button takes a very firm push and then a lever is pulled back so a very noisy spring propels the ball forward. Plus the balls are small (sure choking hazard if you have littles that still put things in their mouth - and they’re exactly the size of some gumballs) and hard. The hard balls being blasted toward the hard plastic - just loud and noisy. So as awesome as the sound options are, the game is very noisy just in and of itself without any extra sound. I always thought arcades were noisy because of the bells and sounds on games. I’m realizing from this they may not have even had sounds, it’s just noisy rolling hard balls around in hard plastic. The other problem with this game - it does have feet that give it a slight tilt, but that tilt is not enough to keep the balls rolling back into the place they need to be to shoot again. A lot of them would fall out of the target zone and just sit in the gutter right below the targets until we stopped the game and lifted the whole end of it so all the balls would roll back to where they were supposed to be. This was annoying for the person in the middle of playing. Also, not all of the digits on the scoreboard were always readable. We tried different, new, batteries that we opened just for this. The idea and game are fun, but the problems would keep me from purchasing this version in the future. As much as our family loves ski ball, we’ll keep looking for a better built tabletop set. ... show more

  • Super tiny balls--basically marbles lol
Style: Alley Ball
Super easy installation!! I really expected to be fitting springs and screws together myself haha but the arcade arrives in 3 easy pieces and even has some of the stickers applied already. The display has a little foam piece to protect in storage, plus little suction cups underneath the target base as feet although the middle has some uncovered plastic pegs that could use some tape to not scratch the surfaces you want to play on. Reload & aim is mostly analog (and fairly loud lol) but the ball return is a really cool feature! You also get 8 balls of each color, not 6 like the manual list, so that's great if a couple get lost. Easy to break back into the 3 parts for storing in the box, too. Nice game to practice new skill or get social with. Pretty cool! ... show more
