I have the Jura WE8 and use this coffee maker with this coffee. It's a very mellow coffee that is like having a cup of hot chocolate with caffeine. I use the expresso setting with 2.0 oz and add to a cup of milk, then sweetener to taste. Boom, that's how I start my day!

I was searching for coffee that was organic and shade grown and stumbled across this brand. I love that this company is eco friendly. When I first got my order, I noticed it smelled fresh, but different than what I normally enjoy. I usually go for something on the dark side with notes of chocolate, this seemed more fruity/acidic in smell. When I ground the coffee I noticed it smelled a lot more smooth and it ended up tasting more smooth than I thought. The taste is hard to explain, but it's good! Definitely not super dark, but does have a lot of flavor to it. I will be buying this brand again. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I am kind of a coffee snob, I can't walk into a grocery store and just grab anything. I find lately, I've been having a hard time finding fresh roasted coffee. I've been drinking this brand/blend for a long time. It's expensive and packages are small (12 oz I think) but it is a good coffee. I was disappointed to see it was purchased by Amazon. I'm hoping they don't stop making it but my local Whole Foods has stopped carrying it in favor of the "store brand" and has even removed the labeling from the shelves. ... show more

Once I tried Sight Glass Organic Blue Boon coffee, I was blown away by how good it tasted and made me feel. It was really expensive so I only bought it every once in a while as a treat. My lovely wife bought me a weekly subscription to it and I enjoyed it every week for almost a year. Then Sight Glass changed something about the roast. I don’t know if they changed the blend but it wasn’t as good as before. This change occurred around October 2022 so I decided to go back to Allegro and now I like this better. It’s definitely a lot cheaper. They both have a smooth milk chocolate flavor with a light fruit overtone. Not as aromatic as Jo Coffee. I usually buy Jo espresso beans. I thought I give this one a try. Unfortunately, there is no aroma, and taste very bland.
