Overall, this is a nice, medium quality shade. I actually put it on a window in my garage and the light gray matches my slat wall. I would say it has a modern, minimalist vibe to it. It rolls up and down smoothly. If you are looking for a simple shade, you don’t mind seeing the brackets, and you like a rolling shade, this could be a good choice. One thing…I wish it came in half sizes. My window width was 3/4 past a round number. That meant I had to go down to the smaller size and then the actual shade is 1 inch less than the listed shade size (to account for the bracket, etc. So this shade ended up almost 2 inches narrower than my window opening. It’s still ok, but there are pretty sizeable gaps on the sides.

After our first purchase we ended up buying 3 more of these to cover several other windows! They were fairly easy to install and set up. We hung these so they roll away from the window so we could keep our sheer curtains under them. They do block a substantial amount of light, although some light does sneak around the edges. I think the amount of light would be reduced if we were to turn them around so that they were tighter to the windows, but then we'd have to remove the sheers we have hanging behind them. We're okay sacrificing a little light blocking for that. We did ultimately add some chain beads that function as stops - that way we can have all of the blinds set to stop at the same points both when fully open and when fully closed. But they are not necessary to install and use these.
