One of the better priced scooters. Was impressed with the size of frame compared to other higher priced scooters. Easily assembled. It has disc brakes and a park setting. Useful when maneuvering to a sitting position. I’m a heavy person, and the spring that stabilizes the well padded knee rest makes for a more comfortable ride. It easily folds up to fit in a trunk. Highly recommend this scooter at a reasonably price.

After looking at a number of knee scooters; ratings; features; stability, etc. I am very happy I got this one. There are some a bit cheaper but is this something you want to scrimp on at the risk of falling? This knee scooter is so much easier to use than crutches or a walker. Both of those have a purpose but for moving around more and a little quicker, nothing beats the knee scooter. It took my husband about 30 min. to assemble. He said the written instructions were decent, but it was easier to rely on the pictorial representation as there was more detail. It came with all the necessary tools needs to assemble, 2 different sizes of Allen wrenches. It’s a quality product. The brakes are very good. You can use one or both brake levers to stop. I had to be sure to remind myself to set the brakes any time I stopped and was reaching or doing something, so I didn’t lose my balance or have it roll out from under my stable leg. You can set the brakes by squeezing either brake lever (or both) and depressing the silver brake button on either side and releasing the lever slowly until you feel it set. To release the brake, squeeze either side and you’ll hear the click of the sliver brake button popping up and you’re ready to roll. My husband did notice, after a lot of use, that there was some “slop” in the brakes…it was an easy fix. You slightly loosen the lock nut that’s close to the silver brake button, then tighten the cable adjustment, (do this on each side). [See video] I’ve been using it for 4 weeks now and haven’t had any issues with the brakes as some reviewers have noted. As far as turning radius, if you’re going forward, it turns pretty well. If you have to back up or turn around it’s about a 40-point turn unless you have a lot of space. I did find that if I was somewhere that I could grab a door jamb to hold onto and be more stable, I could reach around and pick up the back end enough to be able to back it up easier. After 4 weeks of being totally non-weight bearing on one foot, I’ve had lower back issues from twisting to get to the counter, desk, table, etc. because of pulling up alongside the surface to get close enough. Pulling up straight or head-on, puts me too far away to complete any task or reach most things (I’m 5’10” and fairly long arms). This isn’t the fault of the knee scooter…just the way things go. Our house is mostly hard surfaces; we do have a couple area rugs and bathroom rugs. The scooter does especially well on the hard surfaces and pretty good on over the rugs, however, I did take up the bathroom rugs as it was just a bit easier to roll without them. My experience with the scooter outside has only been on hard surfaces; parking lots; grocery stores; doctor's office; restaurants, etc. It has rolled over all those surfaces well…thresholds take a little more effort, but it does fine. My husband is able to get it in our SUV without folding it or taking off the bag. He just lays it on its side. It makes putting it in and taking it out much faster and easier than folding it. The accessories I purchased separately were a cup holder and a knee pad cover with additional foam padding. Both of these have been invaluable to me. Overall assessment is it’s very sturdy; great brakes; adjustable for height; good overall features; great value for the money. If I had a wish list or suggestion for the manufacturer it would be a more “cushy” knee pad; a bit bigger/wider bag; and a video for assembly instructions. None of these are deal killers but would be nice. This is a great knee scooter and very glad I have it.

OPERATION Once assembled (see below) the BlessReach knee walker's soft tires roll smoothly with almost no effort. It has no trouble travelling over and between ceramic tile, rugs, carpets and door thresholds. With slightly more effort it rolls over packed gravel and grass. Rolling over raised edges works best when the edges are approached by both front wheels at the same time. Like all knee walkers, it cannot turn in a really tight radius, but it provides ample maneuverability. The handle bars move easily from side to side, so steering the knee walker is easy. The product appears to have excellent build quality. The brakes, including the lock buttons, work well. The brake lever cables on the handle grips merge to a single cable just below the handle bars. Therefore, pulling on either brake handle has the same braking effect on the rear wheels, although one's grip may be stronger in one hand than the other. The single brake disk connects to both rear wheels. Pushing the brake lock button on either side will have the same effect if the brake cables are the same length. My left and right cables were not exactly the same length, so the brake lock on one side was slightly stronger than the other. Nevertheless, both worked well to keep the scooter from moving. Since only one of the two brakes locks needs to be applied, the user can press the lock button with one hand while squeezing the brakes with the other hand. The knee pad was firm, but not so firm as to be uncomfortable when moving around the house. Longer trips or extended time spent kneeling on the scooter would probably benefit from an added cushion. A cushion would also protect the knee pad. Abrasion by a cast or boot may be the reason for several negative reviews of the knee pad. The carry bag seems well-made and fits easily on the scooter's bag attachment points. A Velcro fastener is provided, but likely will only needed when travelling beyond the house. ASSEMBLY The knee scooter components arrived in excellent condition. Unlike most assembly manuals, there was no illustrated parts list, although there was a photo without annotation. No tools are required, although a Phillips screw driver may be needed (see below). Assembly was straightforward, although the terminology used in the assembly manual was unconventional. The manual calls the items used with the "screws" to attach the front wheels to the "front wheel rod" as "gaskets". Unless the product has changed since the manual was printed, the supplied lock washers are what go between the front wheels and the front axle. An Allen wrench was provided to tighten the bolts to the axle. Unfortunately, a smaller Allen wrench that is needed to tighten the shock absorber bolt was not supplied. A quick-release bolt clamps the front axle to the steering assembly, allowing the bulky front wheels to be removed when space is at a premium. The axle is fastened by a small plastic-covered nut that is not as easy to hold in place as the other connectors. The "screws" used to fasten the kneeling pad to the scooter are easy-to-use thumbscrews. The hexagonal-headed bolts used to fasten the handle bar and the kneeling pad to the desired heights fit into the same-shaped holes in the scooter's frame, so care needs to be taken to insert the bolts in the correct direction. More space can be saved by removing the bolt supporting the knee pad and either lowering or removing the knee pad. The handle bar column hinges down for transportation or storage. The latch that secures the steering column in line with the lower section of the scooter's front wheel assembly (the "standpipe") is called the "buckle" in the manual. Pushing the latch up against the frame locks the handle bar in position for use. Pulling it back allows the handle bars to fold down. A threaded screw is located within the latch mechanism. A Phillips screwdriver can be used tighten a latch that is too loose to stay in place (as mine was) or loosen it if it is too tight to easily unlatch (as has been reported in other reviews). There is a rotating plastic lock that prevents the latch from opening once it is slid into the side of the latch, so there is no need to tighten the latch so much that it is hard to undo. Overall, this is an excellent product that is easy to assemble and operate.

I have been using this for the last 2 weeks after bunion surgery. This scooter is great! I am 5’3 and it adjusts well for petite individuals. I was worried about the brakes but they work fine when there is weight on the scooter. The handles have buttons to freeze the brakes so it makes it more safe when getting on/off or reaching for things. My right handle brake freeze is a little loose but i think we forced the wheel a little so I think that was our fault. I recommend wearing a shoe for the foot pushing off. I injured my toenail when i kicked one of the wheels after pushing off. Assembly was really easy. No regrets with this purchase. I love the purple color too.

This scooter was not good from the beginning. 3 weeks after buying the front end seized up. My husband and I were able to loosen it but not completely. 5 weeks after buying and using due to extensive surgery, the neck would not break down. We forced it to get it into the car. When reaching our destination (Dr office) the neck would not lock for use. I used a hammer to move the screw enough to lock the neck but it would never break down again. 7 weeks of use and issues the front end seized up again. We tried everything we knew. We even went online and tried what suggestions we could find. Nothing worked. 7.5 weeks, had to buy another. The first one still sits here. I guess I'll save the seat and wheels in case someone else needs them. The first one was not a good product at all. I cannot reach the manufacturer due to phone number and email being bogus. Is there any help for people who experience these things? I think, for the most part these are great devices.

I weigh 140 lbs, and after reading numerous reviews of different knee scooters, I chose this model because of its added stability. I'm very glad I did. It also helped tremendously that I spent two weeks practicing with it before my ankle surgery. At first, I wondered if I should have bought a lighter model, but after surgery I realized I made the right choice. Pros: Extremely stable and doesn't tip when rolling over small obstacles like cords, floor vents, or thresholds. The knee pad has excellent cushioning and is very comfortable. The solid wheels are smooth, don't mark hardwood floors, and would likely perform well on carpet and rugs too (I only have hardwood floors, so I can't speak from experience). The turning radius could be a little tighter, but it works well once you get used to maneuvering with a few back-and-forth adjustments. Cons: It's a bit heavy and doesn't fold, so while it can be transported in a car, it's not the most convenient option if you need to load and unload it frequently. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this scooter to anyone who values stability, especially during the first weeks after ankle surgery when confidence and safety are most important.

I am giving it 5 stars as it sufficed my need for the knee schooter. I used it for 5 weeks while recovering from a chronic 2nd metotarsal fracture. After using chutches for 2 days, I figured, it would be hard to use them for 5 weeks (trying to balance and cook, and carry little things). So it was my rescue. I used it mostly around the appartment and it was great, it is small enough to navigate in the appartment (I have fairly small kitchen, so could go only 1 way), I could not get it to the bathroom because my bathroom is small, I parked it right outside and just navigated in with crutches which I just had ready by the door. I think it is maneuverable enough has a good sharp turning ability but for sharp turns MUST turn slow as it can tip if do it faster. In small spaces often I had to back out which was fairly easy to do for me. Outside I used it on paved walkways of a resort, ride was petty smooth. It was a little difficult to rall it up the ramps (if ramps were steep, so often I had people help me rall it a little not to over exhaust the other leg). The knee support was perfect, over 5 weeks it did not feel that it wore off not it did not give any pain to my knee (my knees have chronic pain from bending). I only was uncomfortable while I was riding it while wearing a cam boot (I had a tall one), I felt I had a little bruise on my shin in 1st few days which then seemed to stop bothering me. In terms of vibration it was fine, again I mostly used it on smooth pavement. Breaks worked well, I did not use them as much as I was not ralling fast. But if I was going a steep slope, it really helped not to roll to fast. The stopper button was great, to fix the scooter not to roll while stationary. I've got blue color, it was very pretty. I also traveled with it, I had to request a minivan or a van for transportation to make sure the scooter fits, it folds but not much, skates keep in mind. Assembly was not hard, but I did not do it myself (my husband assembled it for me). Height of the knee rest as well as the steering adjusted well (I am 5'4"). Overall great product for the $$. Only surface I could not roll it was on sand, but that eas expected as different tiers would be needed. The bag in the front was excellent size and quality to place items like phone, key, or wallet while on the go. I've seen people even attach cup holders to the steering (I skipped this accessory).
