I absolutely love my Blink Cameras, and have multiple around my house. I would post photos of them but really that would just be posting pictures around my house‼️ The cameras are fantastic and the picture quality is excellent, but the software is lacking. It doesn’t keep thumbnails updated for each camera, you have to do that yourself for each camera, and you have to manually Arm/Disarm the system so there doesn’t seem to be a way to get consistent updates on movement in the Disarmed mode. I’ve reached out to Blink but haven’t got an answer back on a workaround for this. ... show more

These things are great, sometimes they catch even the smallest thing like something blowing in the breeze. But I'd rather have too many alerts than not enough. These are high quality products and the batteries seem to last for a very long time. Purchase was made on March 30, 2024. It’s April 7, 2024 and 2 of the 4th gen wireless outdoor cameras no longer work. Read the reviews and don’t waste your money. These are absolute junk.

The cameras were easy to install and set up. Using the app. These were in addition to another house and is good for multiple locations.

    • Flimsy Mounts, Picture Quality Not As Hyped
I’ve had two other camera systems, both wired with a DVR. From what Blink advertised I had great expectations for this system but I’m not overly impressed. It is true that not having to run wires is a really big plus for wireless camera systems of any manufacturer, but ultimately what you want is superb clarity. That’s the failing of the Blink 4 Outdoor system in my opinion. Setup and operation of the system is not hard but the camera mounts are very cheap and there is nothing to stop a thief from just yanking a lowly installed unit off the wall (“Yay! I’ve got a camera I can sell for $50 on FB Marketplace). A bigger issue is the field of view, which is extreme for the cameras. So what, don’t you want wide coverage? The problem is that just as with any wide angle lens the wider the view the smaller the objects. I mounted my cameras under the eaves of the house and if a thief entered my yard, the best I’d be able to tell the cops would be his/her body build, skin color, and clothing color. Unless you have the camera mounted at about eye level AND the subject gets, say, within 10 feet of the lens, there is limited facial detail seen and recorded. OTOH, the cost of the system was comparable to a wired system and it is up and running now whereas if I’d bought a wired system it might still be in the box waiting for me to find the time and motivation to install it.
