It seems like it doesn't have enough power.
Could someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong? I'm hemming a pair of trousers—and they aren't denim—but the needle keeps stopping. It seems like it doesn't have enough power. I don't want to give it a bad review, because I'm waiting for some advice.

Unfortunate Addition to the Landfill
I feel that sewing machine deserves one star for its only attribute - it is lightweight and easy to carry. Of course, it’s lightweight because it’s almost entirely plastic and flimsy. The major reason I threw it away was that the included foot pedal doesn’t work. The needle control consists of a low-off-high speed button on the side of the machine. The motor will continue stitching until you press the button to off. You have almost no in between speed control, and can use only one hand to move the fabric. The machine comes with pre-wound bobbins and matching spools of thread of horrible quality. I tried to think of a reason to keep it, but couldn’t. The limitations of the machine are so severe I didn’t even feel that I could give it away.

Great starter machine that won't break the bank
I have absolutely no sewing experience, and for years I've only done the occasional repair or project by hand. I knew a sewing machine could save me a ton of time, but most of the larger, more advanced models looked intimidating and way more complicated than I needed. I am going to be using this for simple things like hemming, repairing my husbands clothes and maybe the occasional holiday craft with or for my daughter. I already have a huge list of simple things I can make with a small machine like this! That's what appealed to me about this machine. It's affordable, simple, and doesn't overwhelm you with a million settings and adjustments. As a complete beginner, I really appreciated that it focuses on the basics and makes getting started easy. I also liked that it includes a nice assortment of thread and a few basic accessories. For someone just getting into sewing, it's nice to have everything you need to start experimenting right away. The machine is lightweight which means I can put this away and take it out easily without hassle and breaking my back. I have a small child in the home, so something I can pack away and take out as needed it a must.
