Ok.. Finally. The keys feel so solid and amazing to me. They're right where my fingers think they're going to be.. which is always nice. I like that the colors are ..sorta muted.. And, the fact that when adjusting them the brightness starts about halfway up rather than at full tilt. So, the keyboard is very easy to use and fulfilling to deal with since everything is quietly powerful feeling. Now, truth be told.. the software feels kinda janky but after some fiddlin' with it.. it's ok. And, I don't have to run it or have it auto-start so that's a plus. Hoping this will be a long term relationship since I am pretty much fed up trying different keyboards since my k740 started being too far over the hill to continue using. Alright.. *Cheers to (of all things) an Alienware keyboard. (Never would've guessed I'd end up here again) Surprise.!

Previously had a wireless keyboard from a random brand that I liked, before it started crapping out on me. The aesthetic of it being wireless was nice, but it just wasn't doing the job. Decided to spoil myself with this one and upgrade to wired so there wasn't any connectivity issues. Love it so much and it is worth the money!

This keyboard is amazing! Love it to death. Prior to this purchase I had a rather nice and expensive Razer mechanical keyboard. Don't get me wrong - Razer makes AWESOME products and all that but for my tastes A MECHANICAL KEYBOARD (NOT THIS KEYBOARD) IS TOO LOUD. FAR TOO LOUD. I type extremely fast and the clack clack clack of a mechanical keyboard sounds like tossing a ball bearing into a paper shredding. Don't ask me how I know. THIS keyboard has a shorter key stroke, quietly operating key engagement, on-keyboard volume control with mute, well lit keys and the standard layout that I, as a gamer, have come to expect. BUY THIS KEYBOARD NOW!!!! OMG I love this thing and I'm not being paid or endorsed by anyone to leave this review. Seriously, I can type at 100+ wpm and still actually hear the video that I'm watching. LOVE IT. Soooo smooth and looks amazing to boot. The only downside to it is that it does not come with a padded wrist rest which I come to expect with a keyboard of this price but I already have one and I'm using it now. This does not take away from the rating of the keyboard itself, nor do I feel that it detracts from the value of this keyboard for the money. If you do not possess very good control of your typing (mainly in the form of intentional key strokes) then you will likely find this keyboard too sensitive. But I absolutely ADORE THIS KEYBOARD!!!

I used to miss my full size Corsair K70 with the volume scroll wheel and number pad after using it for nearly 10 years, so it was a bit of a learning curve to adjust to a TKL setup. For about 2 months prior to purchasing the AW420K, I was using the Logitech PRO X TKL RAPID, making all the necessary adjustments in the software and learning to adapt to magnetic-analog switches on a smaller size keyboard. The issue I had with the magnetic-analog switches was that unlike the Corsair K70, the W A S D didn't have swappable textured keycaps and I had to keep checking my hand positioning when typing and gaming. Additionally I found that typing on the PRO X keyboard was difficult due to how soft the keys press and the AW420K is much more comfortable and responsive and I make less keystroke errors. The keys for the AW402K are LOUD, but not MX BLUE loud. The keys also have a pinging sound (if you hit them hard and quick) in some of the larger keys (like spacebar and shift or enter) although I really don't mind this as the typing is much more natural due to the feedback and really, you can't notice with headphones on or you aren't beating on the keyboard. As you can see from the pictures, I am using multiple Alienware products and the Command Center was very simple to operate and adjust. I thought this was worth mentioning because I read many reviews that stated it was confusing.
