The most powerful AND the quietest gaming pc I have ever owned
I ordered this on a Friday and received it on Saturday around 2pm and it was in perfect, unopened shape. It was very easy to get set up and running. I did a few internet searches to learn how to disable/remove all the bloatware MS puts in Windows that I didn't want (copilot, etc.) and then I was off to the races. I can not emphasize enough just how quiet this machine is! My last pc, a Corsair, was, I thought, a pretty quiet machine, but it would (seemingly randomly) turn on its fans once in a while and dispel the quiet - even when nothing appeared to be going on to cause it generate extra heat. This alienware r16, by contrast, is just plain always quiet. I haven't put it through a truly heavy workload yet, but I'm throwing all sorts of games and apps at it, and it's just so quiet. It starts up very quickly, and is just plain the nicest system I have ever owned. I guess, at least sometimes, you really do get what you pay for. This is a rock-solid machine. Very much recommended. Also, if you're like me, and you'd been avoiding Windows 11 as long as possible, I can tell you it's not too bad at all, once you tweak it to your liking. As I said at the top, it was pretty easy to get the bloatware out (the one thing they embed like a tick is Edge, but I'm working on that). Everything else that you don't want is pretty easy to pare out, leaving behind a system that runs well and puts very little load on your resources, leaving most of this system's impressive power and speed available to run the apps and games you actually care about. ... show more

The most OP PC you can have
Review Image by Renato Giffuni Renato Giffuni
The Alienware Aurora R16 is a powerhouse for gaming and multitasking. With its Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and NVIDIA RTX 4070, it handles demanding games and tasks effortlessly. The dual storage (1TB SSD + 1TB HDD) is perfect for speed and space, and the sleek, compact design fits nicely in any setup. It stays cool and quiet even during intense gaming, and the RGB lighting adds a nice touch. While it's pricey, the performance and premium support make it worth it for serious gamers and creators. ... show more

Amazing
I didn't want to buy a pre-built, but. Wow. I got it on a deal and I can honestly say that this thing is a beast. Worth every penny. It had probably the most current components when assembled so it'll stay running high end games for quite a while. Its a beefy boy for sure (kinda large) and yet its their "minimalist" build lol. Fairly heavy so for the love of all that's holy, don't drop it. Heavy just means it's choc full of goodies. Its as beginner friendly as a microwave. Plug in all the wires and cords, turn it on, it works. To recap: good for the price (on sale or not really), it's a bit on the 'big' side, got some heft, and works exactly as a gaming PC should... Playing 99% of modern titles on ultra graphics like a dream lol ... show more

Great PC - No Issues, plays my games great
This Review has been started the day after it arrived. everything looked really good until windows was fully set up and I started trying to download apps and surf the web. I was getting download speeds ranging from 10-50kb a second, ridiculously slow. This was clearly an issue with the PC because everything else in the room was getting upwards of 100Mb a second. I tried a few fixes on my own and then called dell tech support. I was on the phone with them for about 2 hours and they walked me through a number of other fixes, all of which have not worked. But they will be sending out a technician to take a look at it next week, will keep updating this review as the situation unfolds. Update - LOL, it turns out that the issues I was having were my fault. I thought that the antenna that the PC uses to connect to wifi and bluetooth was a wireless phone charger or something. I did not plug it in because my phone does not use that. As soon as the antenna got plugged in everything worked perfectly. ... show more

Amazon "Bait and Swirch"
Review Image by greg scott greg scott
My Aurora is two weeks old. I have been having issues since it arrived - Crashes, blue screen recovery, restarts - several times per day. Amazon product support was no help. DELL (Alienware) Technical Support was great. After hours of remote work trying to find and fix the issue, they declared the defect unfixable and told me to return the unit to the seller. AMAZON's ONLY solution is to return for a refund and re-purchase at a substantially HIGHER PRICE. The unit delivered was defective. They will not replace the unit. They will not sell me a new unit at the original price. If I want what I purchased. I will have to pay several hundred dollars more than I paid 2-weeks ago. Shame on you Amazon! I have the entire discussion with several Amazon support representatives recorded. They repeated over and over that my only option was to pay a higher price to replace the exact same model defective unit. ... show more

Sweet for Gaming
Honestly been ripping every game at ultra settings got the i9 option and the thing runs beautifully. Was skeptical of getting a prebuilt but it lives up to the Alienware name and price. I wanted to write an additional piece as I’ve had this for a couple months now. This thing rocks, can run any game at really any quality and is so smooth and quiet. Definitely worth the cost if you’re not able to build one on your own. Only caveat is storage but you can always add on storage ... show more

I’m now a PC girlie for life
I’ve had this desktop for almost 2 years and I love it. I find the build quality to be exactly what I need for ultra high quality graphics without any lag. Everything is lightning fast on this PC. It does everything I want it to and more. The sound is very crisp and customization options are wonderful. It was super simple to set up out of the package. ... show more

Wonderful, but need to delete Alienware Program
Excellent performance all around - the only weak link is the Alienware desktop program, which ate up memory and slowed everything down. Once removed it worked perfectly.
