Gets the job done perfect...once u understand how to use it you'll love it ...I move laser up and down based on what I'm engraving...only thing I didn't realize is using this in home ...when engraving wood you'll definitely get a burning smell that sticks around for a little ....so I definitely recommend buying fans vents or using this outside....it has a app and once u understand it I'm telling u it's pretty straightforward...the setup was decent...but everything I've made has been through the phone app and not my actual PC...I can't imagine how much potential if I actually used a true laser engraving app... definitely worth the money especially with the space you have to work with

DIY KIT MK2 So far pretty nice, attaching to home network was completely intuitive, it even says on screen 2.4G only. Then when you go to another menu, your IP is on screen at the top. In lightburn make a profile, grbl, your ip and boom it actually worked. Easy peasy. It has a laser that's fan is not blaring when its not cutting, it even has limit switches. Watch there install video, combined with the well thought out manual and setup is pretty easy. Some exceptions to note. The feet are not anodized aluminum as in the video, plastic; they seem strong but plastic. Same with the mounts for the limit switches. The wiring loom is not the higher end woven type in the video, but rather split loom that is fast to put together, kinky and makes allot of noise when the machine is traveling and will be prone to hanging up. The Fancy clip to secure the laser cabling is not present on the 10W laser. Because they chose to use split loom, the cable management in the install video and no laser head wire management, this is not nearly as slick in reality as the video presents it. For the Y Axis this has the 3 wheel roller, not the four in the video. Things that caught my eye, the laser head and cabling to seem pretty well thought out and beefy. The controller seems to be pretty modern and thought out. Aside from the plastic legs and loom use, this laser is like the next generation to my other laser. Compared to my other 10W laser that cant be named for unknown amazon reason, firmware does not work with lightburn (there working on it), fan on laser is always blaring, it does have taller aluminum feet, the control panel is old and clunky, does not come with limit switches, instructions are terrible, does have a better cabling loom (that I had to rebuilt as there limit switch kit was all wrong), is also a 24volt model and a current competitor with the MK2, choose the mk2 unless you need the beefier feet and corner construction that you can add a bit of angle iron to and bolt it down as I did. I just have to hide this from my wife, for a while. These were out of stock, so I bought the very similar one that is a stinker, then prime day...

At times the unit would STOP in the middle of a job ???, not very compatible with engraving software. I get message lost communication with driver board. Assembly was straight forward and easy, SUPPORT website is useless does not allow to enter information to be a ticket.

I’ve been using this AlgoLaser 10W laser engraver for several days, and it has performed very well on different materials included but not limited to wood, coated metal and leather. The 3.5" touchscreen with AlgoOS is convenient and easy to use, I can start a project without connecting to a computer, which is nice. Speed is fast and the laser spot produces very clean and detailed results. The setup was easy to follow and straightforward, and it works smoothly with LightBurn. Overall, it’s a solid desktop laser engraver for any DIY projects and small business use. I am pleased with my purchase.

Seems like a decent laser for the price so far other than the fact that the lens fogged up on the inside after the 3rd photograph I engraved. It doesn't do quite as good of a job as my LM3, but it's also a rectangular dot, not a compressed square. The build quality of the machine is ok. It's not super sturdy, but it's not bad either, as long as you don't try and feed it too fast. The wires are a little bit of a problem, as they are in the way, but I upgraded mine to use drag chain to hold them up. It's not one I would bother upgrading very much, and if I hadn't gotten it on sale for almost $100 off, I doubt I would have bought it. It's good for what it is, though. Just remember that you get what you pay for. Update: I had to send it back. The machine kept crashing when it was attempting to home. I got tired of messing with it. I should have read more reviews. This is apparently a common issue. The photo engraving quality is poor compared to the advertised dot size. Going back to Ortur!
