Love the chair so far. No problems the shipping company and seller provided great communication on everything. I assembled the chair myself and it went together easily. I only needed a little help getting the main chair assembly out of the box. There's a lot of different programs that this chair comes with and I've tried out about 25% of them and really like them so far. I haven't figured out how the heat works yet but I also haven't read the manual yet. I'm not a fan of the voice control yet but need to try it out more. Sometimes when I'm playing music it will activate the voice command and it will say "I'm here" during my massage which is a bit annoying. I'm 5'9" and the chair is very comfortable. I use the "shoulder tightness" program the most to loosen up my shoulder muscles which is the number one reason for getting the chair. I feel great right after the massage. Some people say this chair can be a little intense/forceful. There's an "office" program that has a massage in it that is the only one I've noticed can be a little uncomfortable while it is massaging around my hip bones. Other than that, I like the programs and the adjustability of the chair and am very glad I got this one.

This message chair is wonderful and works better than the several others I've tried. It's solid and doesn't look cheaply made; just the opposite. Very nice looking. The young man that delivered the chair set it up for me at no charge and did a beautiful job. I'm very pleased. There are ~ 3 big boxes to unpack. We ran into serious problem with putting one of the two side arms to the chair due to product defects. According to the video instructions, you just have to lightly tap to get the anchor locked in on the side, but it did not work no matter how we tried. Hit it too hard we're afraid to break or damage the fiberglass panel. We had to modify the right side by removing the inside nut and bumped it out a bit with a washer so the anchor can be tapped and locked into it, and use screws for others. It's still not perfectly flushed on a side, but at least hold it in place. (see 2 pictures of left and right side with defect). We also wonder about the anchor that locked it in place. It would be impossible to get the side arm out without breaking the anchor if there's issue with internal wiring or repair and need to access the area. They need to have a better way of mounting the side arms to the chair, or just mount both in the main unit prior to shipping. The rest of the assembly comes relatively straightforward. The unit is working without any issues as we only had it for just a month.

This is our first time buying a massage chair, and I was amazed by both the chair and the seller. They contacted me several times throughout the process to ensure I was happy and that I was aware of what was going on with the shipping process. I can't speak to assembly because I hired some guys to put it together, but they told me it was pretty standard, and it took them about an hour once they had everything unpacked. My husband and I both love the functionality and customization of this chair. We are super impressed by the number of functions and the ability to modify so many elements. The voice control is hit or miss; we don't really use it. If you're considering this chair, make sure you have the ability to unpack it off the pallet and assemble it (or have someone help you). As long as you can do those pieces, you'll be happy with the chair and the service.

I was so happy to get this chair. Finally, a massage chair with all the bells and whistles and it did not stand up to what I expected. UPDATE: I received a phone call their customer service a few days after my review... This team, customer service to the technician, was AMAZING!!! Update #2 it is now March 26th, 2024. The technician reached out to me a little over a week ago. He told me that the main board needs to be replaced by the description of what I was telling him what was going on. The main board came within a week. I called Massage Chair Max and they told me that they needed time to find a technician in my area. Of course, they were closed over the weekend. I received another call from Massage Chair Max and they notified me that they were still looking for a technician in my area. The also explained to me that if I found a technician to replace the main board that they would pay for it. I find that very strange because most equipment would void your warranty if you or someone not authorized to replace such a part as mainboard. I cannot believe that they sent me instructions to replace the mainboard myself. Oh yeah, they did offer me a $100 refund back to my card. A $3500 chair or oversized paperweight in my loft area and the best that they could was $100. They also told me that if I wanted to return the chair that I would have to package the chair in the original boxing and if I didn't have the original boxing that I would have to purchase as box big enough. On top of that, I would have to pay a restock fee of $250. What am I missing here?!?! I did not buy an incredible large/heavy chair to practice lifting and carrying to my 2nd level of my house for exercise and back down again. AFTERMATH: There was a little of miscommunication but no need for details. I hate that I am not good with names but the two ladies that work in the corporate office for Massage Chair Max really went out of their way to rectify this situation. They found a company (Legendary Service Co) to come to my house and install the new main board and if they could not repair it, they are going to dissemble and package the chair for pickup and send me a brand new one. However, one of the ladies recommended that I look at another version of one of their massage chairs and I did, and I noticed an entire different chair that is coming out at the end of May. So, I decided to wait until the end of May to get the newer version of the chair. The new version is the Alfine A860 Athena 2024-Flagship Dual Mechanism Massage Chair. It will have everything that this chair has plus all the features of their last 2 or 3 models and the MAJOR plus is that it also has Over the Air (OTA) Wifi Software Updates. In all of my research I did not find a chair that has the feature that updates the chair automatically just like a cell phone. There may be some massage chairs out there that do have OTA, but not in this price range. GAME CHANGER!!!!! Some things may just happen for a reason because this new chair was NOT on their website when I started my research. Stay tuned...
