    • What I know after 2 weeks
I spent many hours looking for a new set of dinnerware that both looked nice and was practical for everyday use. I was not looking for fine dinnerware for special occasions. I like the looks of this set, but I do have a few requirements. They must be microwave safe (not the type of plate that gets real hot when it comes out of the microwave). These are perfect. Rim stayed reasonably cool and no issues with grabbing onto it. They also had to be dishwasher safe. Again, these are perfect. No issues to date. Now we have to see about durability for every day use. Only time will tell. So far so good. Overall I rate this a 5 star. The set came in perfect condition. No breaks, cracks, or chips. There are some very minor flaws throughout the set. I am picky, but the flaws are so minor and few that unless you scrutinize it, you will never know. Again, I would have no issues having guest over and eating off these plate. They would not qualify for fine china, but they are terrific for everyday use and not have to be embarrassed by them. Both my wife and I like these so much that I ordered a 2nd set yesterday. ... show more

    • Plates kind of cup up
I think they are much pretty in the pictures. The dishes and bowls design gives them this gold look. Some reason the cups lose this look and are more brown tones. The dishes are thick and the rim cups up.
