I originally bought this camera with the solar attachment. I attached it to my gutter and it didn't work well at all. I ordered the electric cable and mounted the camera over my garage door. Now it works great. It has a very clear picture and video.

    • Doesn't fully power the camera
The length and quality of the cable seem fine, but it's not sufficient for a Ring Spotlight Cam Plus. It keeps the battery charged, but doesn't provide sufficient power for it to ever leave "low power" mode, degrading its features.

I was hesitated on this because of the one star reviews. But bought it anyways because it's so cheap comparing to the original one. It's been a week and works great so far. I bought another one and installed it on my other spotlight plus without any problems. Make sure you reset the camera, otherwise it will not detect the adapter. The one I installed today only has 3% battery left and it's charging without problem. ... show more
