We just moved into a new home that has a retractable awning. However the hook handle was broken and it was very difficult to open and close for shade on our deck. I was happy to see that we could purchase this as a replacement. I didn’t see a lot of options online so I hoped for the best. This arrived quickly and works perfectly! The previous one we had was rusted and dusted our hands in a chalky substance. This doesn’t seem like it will do that. This crank seems heavy duty and should last a long time. Bought for my Sunsetter automatic awning. My automatic awning motor stopped working and this does what it is supposed to (manually unwind the awning). Long enough for comfortable use of an over the back door awning. Would recommend.
