I should have known it looked too good to be true. If you are hoping for a brushed gold look with a matte solid black wood as shown in the picture, you will be disappointed. It's brown/expresso. My modern fantasy turned into a farmhouse nightmare. To top it off, the gold is defective in some places. The bed frame is overall good. very sturdy and quiet. Ordered Sunday arrived Wednesday the same week. My husband is handy so he was able to put it together himself with power tools in under an hour. Cons Using the Allen key it came with may take awhile to assemble. The "gold" is more bronze/mustard than a soft jewelry gold like the pictures suggest. There is about a 5 inch gap between where the mattress ends and the foot of the bed frame. We were able to roll a thick blanket between there and that seems to work for now. ... show more
