I bought this because I saw reviews saying it fit a 2017 Jeep Compass perfectly. It does not. The holes do not line up with them ones in the stock runners. I drilled new holes and got them to line up. The threads on the bolts are a little tight. You need to use an Allen key with higher torque to get then in really tight. It’s not a lot of extra work to ask if you’re mechanically inclined. If not, you’d probably look at it as defective. For the price, it’s great after all the work. ... show more

Im glad this fits my 2017 jeep compass. Onlyproblem is it has a dent in it. Will still work but would be nice if product wasnt damaged when purchased. This will be nice as brackets are metal. Seen review of others that are plastic.

    • Did it come with a hot tea kettle?
They claim it’s easy to install but the product does not come with instructions and I miss understood what the arrows that was on the sticker ment and installed them backwards. Yes there is no need to drill holes but the way it’s set up to mount is not very easy. Over all review: Positive: - drilling hole not needed - looks good on the vehicle - works with the panoramic sunroof Negative: - does NOT come with installation instructions - screws do not thread in easily - sounds like a hot tea kettle while going down the road Overall I would look at requesting a refund but don’t feel like fussing with disassembling the product ... show more

A little pricey but as described. Fairly easy to install and sturdy. Looks nice on my Compass.

    • Wind noise is extreme.
Maybe not the fault of product, but they produce a significant amount of wind noise, even a constant whistling. Even with both sunroof and moonroof closed, driving was so annoying I am considering removing rack and reinstalling only os I need them. That would be a huge pain.

Easy to install (although there are no directions). Sold steel. Took me about 30 minutes to install. There are four screws that go through the 4 legs into the metal roof rack wings that form part of the roof.
