    • What does 4.5 inches mean
Perhaps I'm just not understanding what is meant by "cut into 4-½ of 45º" but it clearly does not mean that it will cut a 4" board, which is what I thought it meant. The max cut width on a ½" board is about 3", and we had to remove one of the guides and flip the board after the first cut to complete the cut on a 4" board. Sorta defeats the purpose of a clean-cut drop saw. I'll probably be returning this for a 14" size blade. Other than that, it seems well built and useful for things like pipe cutting or furring strips. ... show more

    • Light portable works for cutting thin metal
Is light and portable and sits flat on surface. So need to hold on to it more because it is light. Works well to cut thru thin metal. Like any saw it is noisy when in use. Has all the protective shields and guards etc. Good for light work with metals.
