  • Proper tools are a must for install!
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS4 2 pairs
If you're not properly equipped, installing these can be a real pain. The sticks work great, calibrate nicely, feel slightly stiffer than factory potentiometers, and respond how I expected. Don't try this if you're a newbie to soldering, practice first... a lot.

  • A true game changer!
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS5 2 pairs
These are long awaited. An excellent drop in replacement that boasts amazing accuracy, easy installation, and low power consumption. I resurrected a PS5 controller I was convinced was a lost cause. I held on to it in hopes that something would eventually come out to fix the issue. The drift and jitter was the worst I’ve seen, and cleaning/calibrating was useless. After installing the TMR sticks and calibrating, it is perfect. I mean, perfect. This controller belonged to a friend and they were so happy I was able to fix it, and for a great price. There should be no more excuses for the controller manufacturers any longer, but we will see. These could potentially rid the controller industry of its number one issue. ... show more

  • These joysticks work great!!!
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS5 2 pairs
I used this for ps5 drift. It did the job but not without drawbacks especially if you’re a newb. Do the math on how much it’ll cost you to fix it yourself and compare it to the cost to have a pro do it. This is tedious and a pain. I had to get an electric desoldering pump, soldering wire, flux, some copper wic, and even tweezers. Oh and something to hold the board with clips. Watch some videos on how to solder and how to change the ps5 joysticks to help you. Research it the best you can. After I installed and calibrated them they worked great!!! ... show more

  • Meh
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS5 2 pairs
One of the two sticks I installed is lopsided. In the circularity test, rotating clockwise, the top-left quadrant comes up short while the top-right quadrant overshoots signifcantly. Rotating counterclockwise, it returns a noticeably different pattern where the top-left quadrant is now correct. If I move back and forth over the top-left quadrant at the limit, it draws an elipse. ... show more

  • Great!
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS4 2 pairs
Did the swap for my Xbox of PS4 controllers and they work great. More sensitivity and next to no stick drift. In Apex it went from a .8 to a .3. And I like how they feel too. A bit more tension, in a good way. Barely noticable but noticeable none the less.

  • Fixed my drift in two controllers, work well, had to calibrate and ok install if you have the tools
Style: 2 pairs Color: TMR-PS5 2 pairs
We had a few PS5 DualSense controllers that had stick drift so I decided to give these AKNES TMR Electromagnetic Joystick Replacement for DualSense PS5 Controller a try and see if they'd be better than others. It has been a month and so far there haven't been any drift issues to note in either of the repaired controllers. However, I did have to calibrate 2 out of the 4 since they were off center and at the same time I calibrated the overall range which I am not sure is good or bad to be honest - it made a square and gave me a terrible range error score of 18%. Less than a minute calibrating, testing and saving later though and my error was down to 5-6% which beat the stock PS5 ones that were 12%. While I was at it, I checked the firmware to make sure it was up to date. As for the install, I am in no way an expert or even remotely skilled at soldering but I was able to do it with the 'proper' tools - which aren't the best. I used a cheap soldering iron that went to 450 degrees Celsius or so it says, some cheap copper wick, rubbing alcohol, cheap helping hands clamp/vice thing, silicone mat to work on, a magnifying light and 63-37 tin lead rosin core solder wire for electrical soldering (0.8mm 50g). I also watched a bunch of videos. From a novice perspective it is an absolute pain, a bit scary and took about 1 hour for each controller but it is doable if you're careful and patient. I might say to only do this if you don't mind making a mistake and ruining the controller completely. Disassembly is pretty easy but helps to have some plastic tools for prying. There are a lot of approaches to the de-soldering process like a heat machine or something but I simply tried heating up the solder and using a manual solder suction thing but that was a waste for me at least. Instead, I gently destroyed and cut apart the old joy sticks from the controller until I was left with just the posts. I flipped it over to the solder side and soldered some of the rosin wire on each of the leads while pushing the tip periodically into the old solder with the goal of pushing the old post threw the joystick side. Once I did that, I used some small needle nose to grip the post, reheated the solder and pulled the post out from the joystick side so that all that was left was the solder. I then used some cheap copper wick to suck up all the solder and clean out the hole. I followed up with cleaning everything in rubbing alcohol. Finally, I put the AKNES TMR Electromagnetic Joystick Replacement carefully into the circuit holes, I held it flat as I could and tacked some solder on a few posts to make sure everything was flush. If it wasn't flush, I reheated the solder and pressed the joystick flush. I then solder all the remaining posts, cleaned everything and put the controller back together. On a side note it is easier to de-solder and solder back the black/red wires on the circuit board so you don't have to deal with the whole controller. Overall, I am very happy with the results, the kids say the controllers never felt better and would get again barring these joysticks work for awhile. I'll update if there are any issues. ... show more
