Description

The Aker Leather 506 Open Top Handcuff Case is made from the highest grade of genuine vegetable tanned leather, and finished with a solid brass snap fastener in black. It features a pull-through release snap for easy access to handcuffs and is designed to fit most standard chain handcuffs, including Smith & Wesson Model 100 handcuffs and the Peerless 700C and 730C. Many agencies, including the State Department, provide this handcuff case to their officers for use on duty. NOTE: since we use premium leather and hand mold each case, the fit may be tight at first, but it will wear over time like a pair of high end leather shoes.

I recently rearranged my duty belt to streamline it and keep my back clean. I’ve had some lingering back pain for quite some time. Running a clean back definitely has helped a lot. I made the decision to run my cuffs at about the 2 o’clock position (CHP style!?). The traditional style handful case took up a little too much horizontal space as well as digging into my thigh a little bit when sitting. This cuff case took a little getting used to and it is not a universal in fit. Once I got used to deploying the cuffs with it I am very satisfied. It has loosened up slightly with use and I actually prefer to have my cuffs on the front of my body as opposed to my back. Additionally I can draw the handcuffs with either hand. I didn’t see many reviews on this product when I ordered it so I kind of took a gamble. I hope this review helps make up your mind if you’re on the fence. Update: 3 months in and so far so good! When I first got it, it was tight and it woulsnt snap. I soaked it in hot water with the cuffs in it for about 10 minutes and now it is absolutely perfect. I highly reccomend this case.

First pair came in and the snap broke off in the package. I sent it back Amazon was quick to send out another one. This one works flawlessly. We carry the Smith and Wesson M100 hand cuffs. I am about to order ASP handcuffs I hope they will fit. Ive worked in security for the last 10 years and never needed to handcuff anyone yet. In fact my entire department hasn't handcuffed anyone in 10 year. So the leather is a little tuff I am ok with that. It's secure on my 2.25 inch duty belt. And it's slim unlike any other cases I've seen. Now 4 people in my department have ordered them because they are that much better. I only rate 4 stars because of the first one I ordered. If they fit the ASP handcuffs I ordered then I'll change it to 5 stars. ... show more

Fit my peerless 700 tight, no rattle when walking, very snug! For those that want an easy draw, try setting your cuffs (to avoid rust, nab a pair from the local jail's broken/rusty cuffs collection) in this snapped closed and let it soaked in water at room temperature and try with the cuffs in, will give the baseball glove feel most people desire on fit. The snap is very stiff and crisp, your cuffs aren't going anywhere unless you want them to. I would highly recommend for a front carry only forward of your holster! Will not be fun or easy to get out or in from your side or back! Had this for a year now, using my cuffs at minimum 5-6 times a day, not a sign of fraying or deformation. All in all, from the 5 or so cuff cases I've gone through, this one I will be buying again after the first one is shot. ... show more

I have used this product for about 3.5 months now and it is holding up very well, the fit was great. I also bought the same product for a hinge cuff set and that one was also a great buy. I would recommend these cuff cases to anyone. I use these on my police duty belt daily.

    • Don't waste your money

The leather is so tight and inflexible they are almost unusable. Once you get your cuffs into them they are impossible to snap and the one time I got them snapped it took me getting a flat head screwdriver to get them unsnapped. I have tried to work them with leather oil, but to no avail. Totally unusable in a situation where I have to detain someone. I can not control a suspect and wrestle with my case to get my cuffs out. I may as well have burned this money, at least then I could have received more use out of the heat from the fire than I ever will from these. ... show more
