I recently purchased the SOG Medium Size Backpack, and I couldn't be more impressed! This backpack is the perfect combination of rugged durability and practical design, making it an excellent choice for daily use, hiking, or travel. First off, the build quality is top-notch. The materials used feel extremely sturdy and are clearly designed to withstand the elements. Whether you’re out in the rain or braving tough trails, this backpack holds up well. The zippers are smooth and robust, and the stitching is solid, which gives me confidence that this bag will last for years to come. The size is just right – not too big, not too small. It’s perfect for carrying all of my essentials without feeling bulky. I’ve used it for everything from work commutes to weekend hikes, and it fits my laptop, books, water bottle, and snacks comfortably. The main compartment has plenty of space, and the smaller pockets are well-organized, helping me keep my gear neatly packed. The adjustable straps are another highlight. They’re comfortable and provide good support, even when the bag is packed full. Plus, the padded back panel adds extra comfort during longer periods of wear. There’s also a handy chest strap for added stability when you’re on the move. Most importantly I must say this was a great value. Other bags at this price point done even come close to the quality of this bag. Highly recommended! Update – 6 Months Later: Stitching Issue Between Compartments (Still a Great Bag) After 6 months of regular use, I have unfortunately run into a durability issue. The stitching that connects the front compartment to the main body of the bag has come loose, creating a hole between the two main compartments (photos attached). I have not been rough with the bag, just normal everyday use, so I am disappointed to see this happen on an otherwise excellent product. I have reached out to SOG in hopes they will offer a replacement or repair, and I will update again once I hear back. It’s great, absolutely love this backpack. Use it for work at a shipyard; tools, lunch, anything extra. Thick, duck material. Good zippers and additional pockets, organizers. 24L plenty of room. Rides high on my back, super comfortable. Don’t even notice it’s there. Super worth it for the price. Only issue is the chest clip, narrow channel to clip it in. It’s awkward and takes extra attention, to clip it in. Otherwise it’s an absolutely wonderful backpack. ... show more

Very well made with heavy material. This is a medium size backpack with 24l capacity. Smaller than what I generally use but I admittedly did not check the measurements before I bought. I will certainly use for day to day carry because the quality and look are excellent.

This has been my bag for almost a year now. It's sturdy, love the color, and I added a little personality with an iron on patch. The only thing that blows is the netted zipper pockets inside eventually rip from the bottom. Also there are random shreds and strings but only on the inside and again, it's been going strong for a year. Love the padded straps. I'm not a purse girl I'm a backpack girl and I've had a lotttt over the years. This by far has lasted the longest while outwardly maintaining quality and structure. ... show more

Got this for our Boy Scout as a daypack. It's just the right size to carry his essentials for the day and not get too heavy. Enough pockets to be able to organize and find everything. Great pack! It has been through two long, hard, wet and hot trips already, and it still looks new.

I don't typically write reviews, but this is a product I have absolutely put to the test.... I bought this bag 4 years ago (blue was offered then but i don't see it now) and I carry it everyday, everywhere I go....it's a perfect size for a day trip, and excellent for a tactical bag....a little small for a bug out build, but awesome to equip as a get home bag....the various compartments are well thought out in size and placement....depending on what I'm carrying, my bag typically weights 15 - 20 lbs....I snactch it up by the handle on top getting in and out of the truck....I usually carry it with one shoulder strap like a sling bag, but throw the other shoulder on when I need confidence that it's secure....the padded back is also a nice feature and provides great comfort.... I can't say enough about the quality of this bag....SOG makes great products at reasonable prices.... Again, I've carried this bag like most people wear shoes for 4 YEARS....that alone should say something about it's durability.... ... show more
