The zippers are still strong, the straps are still strong and the bag itself is still strong. I’ve not had a backpack that has help up like this one before. I recently purchased the SOG Medium Size Backpack, and I couldn't be more impressed! This backpack is the perfect combination of rugged durability and practical design, making it an excellent choice for daily use, hiking, or travel. First off, the build quality is top-notch. The materials used feel extremely sturdy and are clearly designed to withstand the elements. Whether you’re out in the rain or braving tough trails, this backpack holds up well. The zippers are smooth and robust, and the stitching is solid, which gives me confidence that this bag will last for years to come. The size is just right – not too big, not too small. It’s perfect for carrying all of my essentials without feeling bulky. I’ve used it for everything from work commutes to weekend hikes, and it fits my laptop, books, water bottle, and snacks comfortably. The main compartment has plenty of space, and the smaller pockets are well-organized, helping me keep my gear neatly packed. The adjustable straps are another highlight. They’re comfortable and provide good support, even when the bag is packed full. Plus, the padded back panel adds extra comfort during longer periods of wear. There’s also a handy chest strap for added stability when you’re on the move. The stitching that connects the front compartment to the main body of the bag has come loose, creating a hole between the two main compartments (photos attached). I have not been rough with the bag, just normal everyday use, so I am disappointed to see this happen on an otherwise excellent product. I have reached out to SOG in hopes they will offer a replacement or repair, and I will update again once I hear back. Beast of a bag :D I've been using it for almost 7 years now. Its a decently spacious bag and reliable for the price. It is pretty durable, however the buckles will snap occasionally. Those are pretty easy to replace and don't break very often. The zippers are a little stiff like everyone says, but time and use will rectify this. Other than this no major damage or tears. This backpack has been with me through jobs, school, flights, vacations, hikes, camping, road trips, conventions/festivals and all sorts of weather. The perfect EDC bag. I take it to work, I take it on hikes, I take it doing urbex, and I take it just to run errands. It's light enough to not be an issue in less rigorous tasks, but durable enough to handle the abuse of hard stuff. When I say it's an 'every day carry' bag, I really mean it, because I have carried one of these bags with me literally every day for more than a year now. For 40$, I will say that kind of quality and reliability is well worth the price. The biggest problem with this bag is that I only had one. As much of a LARP as it is, I have lists of 'equipment' for different 'tasks' that I like to be certain that I have on me. I hate going out, and then realizing I forgot something that I took something out of my bag for work, that I like having accessible in the woods, or vice versa. So now I have an 'EDC' bag and an 'adventure' bag, not because this backpack couldn't handle both, but because I can be kind of forgetful. ... show more

I absolutely love this backpack! The SOG Ninja Tactical Day Pack is the perfect size for everything I need — not too big, not too small. At 24 liters it holds my daily essentials, extra gear, and even has space for a hydration bladder when I’m out hiking. The build quality is fantastic: durable fabric, solid stitching, and smooth zippers. I’ve carried it in the city, on trails, and while traveling, and it’s handled everything with ease. The padded straps and ventilated back make it really comfortable to wear all day, even when loaded up. Not a huge backpack but impeccable quality. Zippers are awesome, dig the color. For its smaller size, you can fit a fair bit in it. Great for a day hike or something. Straps seem good and I love that its got molle on it for modularity.
