The AKASO 360 has been a pleasure to use on my bike. It's set-and-forget simplicity is perfect for cycling use, with extremely rugged and versatile handlebar mounting kit that would provide compatibility with almost anything. (Other kits are available for bicycle seat mounts. Attached shots are typical and give true 360 coverage. The hemispheres you see here can be stitched together with the Akaso mobile device software or desktop software to provide stabilized, fully immersive 360 (all-around, nadir to zenith coverage) or various special renderings for visualization of the entire sphere on a flat screen. Battery life is right at 35 minutes each, with two in the kit and more available after-market. Sound, color accuracy, and 4K image quality are at least as good as my eyes and ears can tell, with sound isolation being notably good. And the great thing about 360 capture is that it's all there. No posing or pointing--just let it record and find what you want, be it a still of a deer crossing your path, or a dramatic sequence. (Sorry about the lack of drama in my samples. Road riding only provides so much variety.) Disclosure: I received review hardware, as I've reviewed several products for AKASO.

I bought the AKASO 360 after a friend recommended it, and I'm pleased with it after three weeks of use. The plain shipping box had a good weight to it, and even though there wasn't much padding on the outside, everything arrived in perfect condition. The camera feels very high-quality; everything is sturdy and well-made. The camera is ready to use right out of the box, except for the SD card. It comes with two batteries, a lovely soft pouch for the camera, and all the necessary mounts. The setup was super fast, and the 5.7K 360 video with stabilization and horizon lock is just incredible. I get to film everything, and I choose the shot later. I have been putting it through the test in my car while I am out shopping for my next bike, and the video is always clean and level. There are a couple of things that I noticed: the bundle doesn't come with an SD card, the camera's low-light performance is just so, so (excellent in natural light but not as good after dark), and it would be nice if there were a protective storage case, although this is forgivable given the price. In general, I am delighted with this camera, and looking at its rugged construction and features, it will serve me well for a long time. Thank you for the recommendation, Sergio! Note: The flickering was due to my iPhone 14 Pro Max. I will re-record and upload a new video. The 360 camera did not cause the flickering; it was my phone.

I got this camera recently and just started using it to film videos of my dog on his "runs." Quick note, he's a bulldog and doesn't really go for a run but he runs with me in a running carriage and he looks forward to these adventures every day. I had an older model Akaso video camera and it's been great but when I started using the 360 I was kinda blown away. I don't think I really grasped what a 360 video camera does. I can set up the camera on the sturdy selfie stick with a clamp to the carriage and never think about it again. I can then view my footage in pretty much any angle and edit the footage to capture that angle on the entire run/ride. This is great and I love it. Willie loves it too! The menus are simple and intuitive out of the box and the controls are easy to use. I need to spend some time with the tutorials as I just kinda winged it and I've been fine so far but it seems like this camera has a lot more functionality I'm not even aware of. Set up was easy. Formatting an sd card was quick and simple. The camera comes with most of the attachments you will need to start filming fun videos right away. The app is also well designed and quick to function and use for editing and uploading/downloading your photos/videos. I went for a run and was uploading to instagram minutes later. Oh, and the selfie stick completely disappears from the video...it's just cool. The sound quality has also been very good and clear and the picture quality is much better than expected and a significant upgrade over my old camera. The only "complaint" is battery life which is short-ish but the camera is doing a lot so it is expected and Akaso provides an extra battery to swap out in the box so that is a nice add on. Overall I'd definitely recommend this 360 camera for a filming fun little adventures. I'm hoping the product holds up over time but that is to be seen later, everything seems solid now though. I'm happy.

The camera was easy to set up and use right away, I took it on a test video while on my motorcycle. I am happy to say that I was not dissapointed with the results. The image stabalization was wonderful, the microphone works incredibly well and the camera itself is sturdy and compact, which is great for travel. I will be exploring more ways to utilize this camera's potential to it's fullest. I recommend it for those wanting all the perks of an action camera without breaking the budget.

This camera is great for shooting cool videos in 360. I hadn't previously thought about exactly how I'd be using it, but it's helpful for training videos or just some cool POV during work or general life. The usefulness in easy operation and what is included in the box is a bonus, there were a lot of connection options and pieces. So far, the battery life is good, and the quality of footage works really great. My plan is to play around with the Akaso editor software and play around with the Davinci Resolve software for editing the footage. Make sure you use their recommended speed of microSD card, and you'll be golden; otherwise, it'll let you know the card is too slow for recording. Love that it warns you instead of just poorly recording the footage. I'm uploading the proxy footage without editing that I tested quickly in my office. Once you drop that into an editing software it works great to manage and edit what you want your footage to look like. Another huge plus is the quality of the build; all the components are solid (and a lot of them are metal) so I know it'll stand up to the rough environments it can get exposed with.

Just upgraded from my old Insta360 One X, and I have to say it feels like a solid step up. The build quality is premium — it really feels like a camera designed to last. Battery and memory access are super easy, which is great when you’re out shooting. I also like that the selfie stick extends long enough to work as a quick monopod, especially handy for sports photography. Image quality is clearly improved, and the auto 360 stitching works really well. Low light performance is not bad, though not great either — it gets the job done for casual shots. The USB port is also a plus since it charges easily with most regular chargers. The only real thing I wish it had is photo bracketing or some kind of auto HDR layering for better dynamic range. Hopefully they add that in a future firmware update. Overall, it’s a really nice upgrade that’s easy to use, practical in the field, and fun to shoot with. Update: HDR is calle Auto Exposure Bracketing. Support pointed me to the setting and it works fine.

The videos only seem to last 5 minutes which if after 5 minutes and you get into an accident that doesnt help anyone. For $400 almost this should be recording the entire ride
