If you view yourself as a true audiophile, you're probably not considering this and you probably shouldn't. However, if you want good sound and features at a bargain price, you should definitely consider this. Of course, you'll need decent speakers. I had an old CD player/radio that came with OK speakers. When the electronics gave up the ghost, I bought this unit and used the old four-ohm impedance speakers. Plenty of sound power to fill the room. I'm very happy. I wish it had a headphone jack, but I knew that going in, and I don't think that's enough of a drawback to lose the five-star rating I assigned. ... show more

works perfectly. Remote is very handy, easily and quickly re-pairs with devices previously connected, standard quick connect for speaker wire, simple EQ on front is nice. Only tricky thing is volume across inputs can vary widely so switching from radio to my phone was shocking the first time. I have since learned to check my phone volume and the volume on the receiver before powering-on/connecting/switching inputs. That is not a failure of the unit... just a warning! ... show more

The sound is great through my Yamaha outside patio speakers. It is not near 400watts. But the sound is great and the options are well above what I had expected. I would for sure recommend this to all for a back yard or patio setup. We are very happy. No more little blue tooth speaker. Lol.

This isn’t worth it to me, even though it wasn’t expensive. Here are my complaints: first of all, when you connect or disconnect from bluetooth it is insanely loud. I use this as my patio speakers and there is no reason for this loud, annoying sounds every time it connects. It literally scares my dogs every time it connects. I wish the speakers were as loud. That brings me to my second complaint, it disconnects if you walk 10 feet away. It also makes the music skip and pause just by picking up my phone. I mean if you so much as LOOK At your phone the music will start skipping. Total garbage. The “manual” that came with it is completely useless. There’s a wire included with a square connector on the end that fits NOTHING and there’s nothing about it in the manual. If that wasn’t enough, my last complaint is the remote. I got this to be able to adjust the volume from around the pool but the remote has to be pointed directly at it and will not work if the slightest thing is blocking the direct view. Very cheaply made and frustrating. I will be returning. This is SUCH GARBAGE. ... show more

    • Can’t save/program ONLY your favorite radio stations
It ok…wasn’t expecting much at this price point. Irritating that you can’t program (save) your own (PREFERRED) FM radio stations. Instead, the unit simply does an auto scan and saves whatever stations it lands on…meaning you then have to write down which channel yiur favorite stations got saved to. You can at least do direct station entry via the remote, but I just don’t like the fact that it does let YOU choose which stations you want to program/save. Oh well. ... show more
