  • Very nice! 👍🏻 Some assembly tips… Very nice! 👍🏻 Some assembly tips…
Color: Off-White
I bought this shed for gardening tools. It replaces a resin shed that never gave me satisfaction. I was looking for an alternative to galvanized metal or plastic resin sheds. The galvanized ones get dinked easily, have flimsy panels, have sharp edges (and taking the protective plastic film off the surfaces is a real chore). They are inexpensive but look cheap to me. Resin ones never quite fit together. They break easily, especially at the hinges. They’re environmentally terrible (having taken a truckload of waste plastic panels from my earlier shed to the dump…). This one is entirely wood (with a steel frame). It looks like stained pine, and the quality of the wood is pretty good (minimal knits in the wood). I think it looks great once assembled. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I got the light grey one and it looks great. (I think the wood colored one is not as classy). The shed comes with a floor and 2 shelves. The shelves are adjustable and are only half the depth of the shed — so you can store long gardening tools as well. 👍🏻 Packaging (2 boxes) was solid. All the panels are wrapped in protective fabric. All the parts were in the kit, all the hardware (some extra screws…). 👍🏻 Assembly: I assembled by myself. I’m pretty handy around the house. This doesn’t require special skills, just screwing the provided screws. A drill with screwdriver attachment is recommended because of the high screw count. All the panels are stamped with a letter. All hardware comes in labeled bags. The provided panels mount on a solid steel frame. Provides great structural integrity. By and large, the panels are properly toleranced and mount perfectly. Only the doors left some to be desired…. Mine were not completely square… Pre-drilled screw locations in the panels are provided but sometimes hard to see. Look very carefully. 👍🏻 It took me about 4 hours, taking it easy. (That includes having to undo and redo some steps…). Having a helper to hold the doors while fastening them would have been nice (but not absolutely required). Tips: — as you can see in photos, I mounted the shed on some concrete blocks ($2.39 each at Home Depot). I highly recommend this. Firstly, the provided floor is wood and you don’t want wood too close to the earth. Secondly, lifting the shed 8-20 inches off the ground makes it much more ergonomic. Higher to head level and bottom not as low. — the instructions (IKEA-style) are fine but you need to be very careful about the panels’ orientation: up-down, inside-outside, left-right. For every panel look very carefully for the proper orientation, where pre-drilled holes are, whether slats are lining up. Absolutely take the time to do so. Otherwise you’ll have to undo and redo a few steps (thankfully, you can undo-redo later, without having to take the whole thing apart again… — mounting the doors is the only challenging part. They tell you to attach 4 independent door panels to the hinges (and, as mentioned, the door panels are not a perfect fit). I think it’s nearly impossible to without doing the following. Attach the top door panel to the bottom door panel with the provided board. This way, you can make sure the 2 panels on each side are properly aligned. Then you mount the two doors (instead of 4) in the frame. Much easier to line them up. I didn’t want 4 doors, so that worked perfectly for me, but if you prefer 4 independent half-doors (2 on top, 2 at bottom), you can later remove the board that joins the 2 half-doors on each side. You’ll see, much much easier… — the door latch with possibility to add a lock are pretty flimsy. I recommend replacing them with a better latch from the store or Amazon. Some magnetic latches are provided (similar to kitchen cabinet) and these worked great for me. (I don’t need to lock the shed). That’s it. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Very functional shed that looks good too! ... show more

  • Looks good, happy with it so far Looks good, happy with it so far
Color: Off-White
It took most of the day for one person to put it together. And then I spent a couple hours on preparing the foundation because somebody on another purchase said it had to be level. The wood is a bit soft so I plan on sealing it with the clear sealer and I'm going to get some silicon caulking for the inside so it doesn't leak. I'm going to get some screws and secure it to the bottom pavers maybe get some long screws and screw it into the fence we get a lot of strong winds. I think the screws for the roof were too short and didn't seem to secure the roof fortunately I had some wood screws handy and we use some longer screws to make sure that the roof was secure. It was a bit of a guessing game putting the roof on to try to get the screws into the wood to secure it, but a little measurement did the trick. Neither of us have any real skills in construction and it was fairly easy to put together. I like the fact that the roof is slanted for water runoff and it's got asphalt on it; it's very pretty addition to my backyard I'm very happy with it I just hope it holds up and it doesn't leak when I get through with it. I haven't added the shelves yet cuz I want to paint it in silicone it before we put the shelves in it and I decided to go with the two doors instead of four. Can my concern is it blowing over because we get very gusty winds but I'm sure it'll be fine till I get it secured. My son put the unit together and I (68 yrs old) prepared the foundation. We moved it from where he was putting it together, without the doors on, it was a little heavy but we managed. So far I'm very happy with the purchase and it looks really good. I'm not giving it five stars yet because I don't know if it's going to leak or not and again the wood was a bit is a bit soft. I may come back and score a five after I live with it for a little while. ... show more

  • Looks nice and is sturdy.
Comes in two heavy boxes and will take a few hours for one person to assemble. The instructions say 30 minutes. I say no way. You only need a phillips screwdriver or impact driver to assemble. Instructions are fairly easy to follow. It has a lot of little screws and I ended losing 4 and used various extra screws of different sizes that came with it under one of the shelves. The two Shelves have different holes to choose shelf height. Shelves are half the depth of the cabinet which is the way I installed them. There are holes about half way up where you can put two shelves together and make one shelf the full depth of the cabinet. Overall, its pretty sturdy and looks nice. Mine is on a covered porch, but if I was going to put it out in direct weather, I would definitely use a wood sealer or paint. The unit has a steel frame with pine boards that smell like a christmas tree which I like. After looking at many ones like this, the price and sturdiness of this one seemed the best. Be careful to look for the clear vinyl weather proofing strip for the roof, I almost threw mine away. ... show more

  • Careless manufacturing process. Careless manufacturing process.
Overall it was layed out and went together Ok. When the doors were being installed the right side wouldn't align. After considerable trouble shooting I determined the shelves were too long causing the sides to bow out. The hinge pilot holes were wrong (only on the right doors). Those needed filled and re-drilled. I wouldn't reccomend this due to needing a shed quickly and I spent almost as much time as if had built it from scratch. ... show more

  • Great shed with not great doors
Color: Off-White
Overall, the shed is pretty well made. Assembly is easy albeit a bit tedious with 500 different screws. I really like the shed EXCEPT for the doors. If you're reading this, CONNECT THE DOORS (TOP AND BOTTOM) TO EACHOTHER BEFORE YOU MOUNT THEM!!!! I didn't and made multiple adjustments and they still just aren't right, even after connecting them. They open and close, but keeping them closed is not possible without the latches. It seems pretty weathertight. Is it going to hold out driving rain? No. This isn't made to be hurricane proof. Will it keep rain off the contents? Yes. I made a frame for this to sit on behind my outdoor fireplace. I just needed a place to store my outdoor furniture cushions when I wasn't out there and this fits the cushions for a couch, two chairs, an ottoman, and an 8 chair outdoor dining table, but barely. It's a tight fit but it's also a lot of cushions. All in all I would buy it again and just know that I need to attach the top and bottom doors on each side before I hang them. ... show more

  • Nice looking shed - but not sure about durability
It looks very nice, and I love the smell of the wood. The directions were a bit confusing, but no surprise there! It took us most of the day to put together. So far, we like it. I’m curious to see how it looks inside after this big rain storm that’s hitting us now. Review part 2 - downgrading to 3 stars. After the rain (and we have it under our eaves so it's partially covered), the doors warped a bit and will not stay closed with the magnets or the latches. I'm going to get some larger latches that will hopefully keep it closed better. ... show more

  • Really like this shed
So I'm pretty good at IKEA type assembly and this was much like that. The instructions were good, not great. Getting the orientation of each panel correct is a challenge. Take your time. Do not tighten the screws until the end. You will definitely be unscrewing and redoing some things. The wood is soft so it's easy to screw things together. I still highly recommend a drill or power screwdriver. It took me 4-5 hours by myself to assemble. It was hot out so I took a number of breaks. The Good - Each screw packet came with an extra screw in case you drop one into the grass (never to be found again) - Panels are all marked with a letter code. - Predrilled holes are circled but you have to look closely to find them. - The frame is metal which makes the unit much sturdier. - The roof is made up of 2 panels and each panel is waterproof. Don't forget the clear plastic strip that goes on top over the gap between the 2 panels! The Bad - There are gaps in the side panel slats so this is not water proof. Although I have checked the insides after a few rainstorms and my interior did not get wet. - Doors were somewhat challenging. I assembled the top and bottom door panels before I hung them. A little shim at the bottom helped get them aligned. The screws did not line up with the predrilled holes but that wasn't really an issue. - The instructions had some wrong wording in a few sections but it was pretty obvious what the correct thing to do was. All in all I'm really happy with this shed. ... show more

  • Significant caveats
Color: Light Brown
This is an ok product with major caveats. If you, like m,e don't have time to build your own wooden trashcan caddy then this gives you most of the structure quickly and easily and you can finish it with additional reinforcement. However it is not sufficient out of the box. The front doorway racks badly without additional reinforcement. Over time the doors will sag. The wood isn't treated with anything, it seems to be dyed young pine, and needs additional waterproofing. I used Thompson water seal. The instructions are also clearly from a previous design iteration and don't align with the delivered pieces. My metal frame didn't have the expected screw holes so I had to drill them myself. All in all I figured it out and got it together in 2 hours and spent an additional 1-2hrs finishing it. This was better then spending a weekend building the shed from scratch for roughly the same price so it's a disgruntled 2 stars for me. If you have the skill set to build something yourself this is a fine way to shortcut some of the time needed to otherwise design and build it. ... show more
