I got this for our resident feral cat. I added insulation and covered the insulation with foam board. A few screws wouldn't stay in so we used a few longer ones in places. I'm going to use a water sealant on it tomorrow. I'm contemplating cutting a small exit door on the backside so he doesn't get trapped. I'm hoping he likes and uses the house. It was easy to assemble but definitely took two of us.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter's family boxers. It took just over an hour to put together. The directions were easy to follow and it went together easily. It seems to be well built and I love that it has insulation that was zipped in panel for easy installation with the velcro already attached to the inside of the dog house. I think it will be perfect for outdoor use. It will keep both boxers warm and protected in the wet cold weather or give them a place to rest in the summer months.

Bought this a year ago as a feeding station/shelter for feral cats. Added an electric doghouse heater installed near the roof line. It is big enough to hold a large gravity dry food feeder, a water bowl, and a couple other dishes, plus enough room for a cat to rest and warm up during cold winter months. We also modified the entry using a piece of plywood with a cat door inserted, and screwed it over the large opening. In the summer, the plywood can come off to restore the larger opening. The asphalt roof is solid & heavy, with a hasp to lock it down, but it would take a tornado to blow it open anyway. The insulating liner is easy to remove and put back for cleaning, using velcro strips. The size would surely accommodate a large dog. It looks very nice too.

This is a really nice doghouse. I bought the 59 inch one and it is very spacious for my 117 lb Labrador. It does come in two shipments, which I did not know. It’s very sturdy, insulated well, I like how the roof raises up to clean the inside. The price for the house was reasonable but the shipping price was a bit high. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase so far.

The heating pad does not appear to produce any heat. There is no indicator showing if it is getting power or whether it is on. I know the outlet that it is plugged into was working. Step 12 on page 18 says Attach the roof Part S & T by 12xP6. But there are no predrilled holes or markings to help you align the hinges to the correct location. When I got to step 14, it was obvious I chose the wrong location for the hinges. The dog house is too big to return as is.

At first I was skeptical about the tbin construction of the product but with the insulated insert and heating pad my dog has really been enjoying getting outta the cold. Was a good investment! However... the hardware could of been a little more substantial (hinges and screws for the roof)

Didn't know you could get such sturdy, well designed products anymore. Can fit an electric cat heating pad length-wise (just tilt one of the removable floor platforms up high enough to run the metal wrapped cord out & under the cat house.) Or use old chair cushions and a bit of straw. Roof is so substantial, didn't bother to screw it on. (If you get fierce winds, you might want to attach it (all holes pre-drilled & hardware included). ) Assembly instructions are PICTURES & each structural component carries on it a unique letter (A, B, C etc.). All screw packages are labelled P1, P2 etc. Pre-drilled holes align properly & are where they should be. Extra pair of hands best for assembly. Only need a phillips screw driver, and a hammer to knock metal pillars into supplied footings. Comes with plastic wind flaps over door (if decide to use, install from the inside, using the supplied screws). Very happy with this purchase.
