Description

AIVITUVIN are professional pet houses manufacturer for 21 years! we are dedicated to the continued creation and development of that are aesthetically pleasing, intelligently functional and competitively priced. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. It is very well made and was fairly easy to assemble. I thought I would have to add some parts to make it better, but it turned out to have everything I need to keep my cat out of mischief during the night. I like that it has three levels and easy access to all levels. I am so happy with this purchase! I wanted my cat to be able to join me on the porch this summer. I assembled it by myself, which was easy enough. It's not the sturdiest wood, but that does make it a bit easier to assemble. I love that it is on casters and will be easy to move. I made some slight modifications/upgrades to make it more decorative, and to give the cats a place to hide behind the foliage. Cats love it. Always sunbathing or relaxing in shade. Absolutely well worth the money well made and very sturdy. Very pleased as I purchased 2. The instructions were perfect. All the pieces were labeled correctly and the pre drilled holes were in the correct place. Putting this together was easy. And my kitties love it! This is a great outdoor (or indoor) enclosure for cats. It is relatively easy to put together (I did it solo) and the cats are already enjoying it. I would have preferred larger castors (Maybe 6" Rubber Wheels) as we would like to move it around on the property and the wheels that come with it are better suited to smooth surfaces. My cat is an indoor cat and I feel bad that he is unable to go outside especially during the nice summer months. This catio completely fixed this issue. He is able to enjoy the sunshine and outdoors while i have the peace of mind that he is safe and can’t get loose. It’s stable and fit right up to our first floor window so he has easy access. Great purchase! • Nice affordable cat catio
Pattern Name: 24.5"L x 23.4"W x 62.8"H Gery
Our cat was recently diagnosed with bladder crystals, and has been urinating all over my son's bedroom. I purchased this catio as a way to confine her, during treatment. Upon arrival, one side of the box was damaged. Before I opened the box, I made sure to take photos. I'm not going to lie, I was expecting damaged pieces inside. Once I opened the box, I inspected the pieces for damage. There was one piece that was slightly damaged ( a small piece of wood was chipped off) and the rain cover has a small tear. I considered these as minor issues. They did not affect the piece, for what I intended to use it for. The pieces are marked, however not all are easy to identify. Some pieces looked like they had a darker letter and others were so light, they blended in with the color of the wood. Overall, most were identifiable and instructions were easy to follow. Installation went pretty smooth, until the final few steps. Specially the steps where you add the hide away house onto the shelf. As far as the quality based on my observations, this appears to be somewhat sturdy. I do feel that if a dog jumped on it, or if the catio was left in high winds; it would snap. As you can see in my photo, our little lady took to it nicely. ... show more

  • Excellent option if you're looking for a compact, portable catio
Pattern Name: 31.5"D x 70.9"W x 31.5"H Gery
The catio was very easy to put together, and it's pretty sturdy. Though I keep it on my covered patio, it's been rained on quite a bit, and it still looks, feels and rolls just like it did when I built it. Zero regrets or complaints with this purchase. It's served me and my cats well!

  • Exceptional value for the money
Pattern Name: 31.5"D x 70.9"W x 31.5"H Gery
Let's start with the WOOD....it's incredibly lightweight and the instruction manual states it's "FIR". Other reviewers state it's "painted", well, that depends on what one calls "painted". Yes, all the pieces have been coated but the process is called "washed", not painted. For those who aren't familiar with "washed", it's a quick coating of water and paint to give the piece the paint color but not the paint coverage and protection. It's a quick technique appropriate for certain situations. I clear coat sealed each piece, with water seal, before assembling the unit. I don't plan to leave outside in wet weather, I'm positive it wouldn't last long getting wet and being subject to wet of any kind. I also have a tarp ready should a storm pop up unexpected. ASSEMBLY. Instructions recommend 2 people and admittedly, some steps would have been easier with another set of hands, however, it IS possible to assemble it by yourself. I'm a 65 y.o. retired female contractor, with obvious muscle loss due to age but handling the pieces was super easy. The pre-drilled holes match up nicely, the pieces are lettered/numbered clearly, minimal tools required and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. It's a great little "hut" for your felines. It's substantial for cats but I don't suggest putting your weight on the bottom floor of the unit. The included wheels roll nicely. I've moved it all around my concrete and up the 1" ledge into my garage without any issues. One of the shelves, the one at the bottom of the top door opening, does not show being screwed down, just lays loose on bracing....I did not like that thinking a jump from the platform above may cause the edge to go down, which would cause the other side to fly up, leave the bracing, causing the cat to flip and land in the bottom, so I screwed each side at an angle, into the outer framing. ROOF... the roof is a tad bit heavy but manageable and covered with a tar-like overlay. It looks to be water repellant because of the tar covering, however, the wood around is the same light weight, washed Fir, that won't withstand the wet elements for any length of time. I wanted my cat to be able to access the catio from a window but the cute little lift up doors didn't match up to any windows, so I had to improvise, modify the top front door, with an opening that would line up with my desired window. I cut scrap I had to assemble 2 identical, mitered frames. I removed the door so I could lay it flat and stapled the wire mesh to the outside mitered frame. I then screwed the other frame to the stapled frame. Next, I snipped out the wire mesh...VIOLA....an opening. I installed a hinged door to the frame so I could close up the hole if I wanted to roll the unit to another location, with my cat inside. I also added corner bracing for another platform and did not screw on the back of the included shelter box so my cat could see out both ends, right out the window hole exit. Overall, I'm pleased with this catio. I certainly could not have built it for what it cost. It does seem flimsy early on during the assembly however, sturdies up as more pieces are added. Not sure how long it would last being exposed to wet weather, so I'll be rolling it into the garage to hopefully extend the life of the unit. It's a really good deal, even with the shipping cost. My cat climbs the wired sides, doesn't understand why he's confined, being able to see and hear everything so clearly but can't get thru that wire barrier. He does enjoy watching the bird action going in and out of the bird house right beside his "hut". I do think he likes his new enclosure much better than watching from inside the house. ... show more

  • Dream Catio Come True
After weeks of obsessing and planning, the Aivituvin cathouse had arrived (large one). I had told my manager at work about my problem (housebound stray) and she recommended a “catio.” I had never heard of them before. I have one cat, which had been a stray and spent her first year or two solely outdoors. My other cat also had been accustomed to outdoors but because of a heart condition has been an indoor cat. A catio would allow both cats the freedom of the outdoors they had once enjoyed and longed for. I particularly wanted this catio because it was nice and big, so my cats could have plenty of room to roam around as if they were roaming around in the backyard. Most catios are much smaller. I wanted this one because it allowed the cats to roll around in the dirt and chew on the grass, since it could be positioned right on the yard as an open structure with no flooring. Also, I didn’t have to hire anyone to build it, create a design, or purchase a design, and I’m most certainly not a DIY project type. This was something that I could get up quickly and most affordably of all options. Long story short, this product lived up to every hope and expectation. I heard some customers complain that one of their boxes was missing when it arrived (it comes in four boxes). This was not an issue for me. All four parts arrived together in three days on my front porch. I heard some customers complain that a part of the product was damaged. This was not an issue for me whatsoever. All of the parts arrived, none missing and none damaged. I heard one customer say that the latch to the human door was missing. Mine was not missing. I heard several customers saying that the directions were confusing, unclear and misleading. This was not at all the case for my husband and I when we put it together, although I will say that my husband is very intelligent and he figured it out no problem. I heard some customer saying that the parts were poorly labeled. That was not true at all. Every piece was clearly labeled with an alphabetical sticker. The booklet of the directions was large and clear to follow for the most part. It was only when we got to the L parts to stabilize the connection between the cat run, and the bridge that we ran into a little hiccup (husband figured it out). It’s confusing because there are two parts of the wooden wall of the house that the L piece can attach to, (two holes on each side of the house wall right next to each other). We had to unscrew the L piece and move it to the two holes right next to it. My husband did say that this part of the directions changed from one page to the other. Anyways, the labeling of boxes made assembly easy. He made a pile for each box, and we were able to go in order of assembly based on the labeling of each box. Just to get an accurate idea of timeframe, if you have a smart person leading the operation, who is great following written instructions, and a second person helping (as we did) this structure will take you three and a half hours to assemble. We had no setbacks, worked quickly, and everything ran very smoothly (and we used an electric screwdriver as seen in another review and is a must for this) and it took us three and a half hours. So yes, I give this product five stars and no issues with the paint (I heard one customer concern that it killed their ferret). I love the grey color of this house, which amazingly matches my grey house perfectly. I saw the advertisement with the lady sitting inside of the cat house with her cats and daughter. I didn’t think I would spend that much time just chilling in the cat house with the cats, but I actually have a patio chair and sit inside the house for long periods with them. I would say that is a cool feature of this product which I hadn’t anticipated. I saw many photo reviews where customers built the cat house house primarily on dirt, which I did as well with my backyard being dirt. I live in an area of high winds, so time will tell how well this product holds up against the elements of wind and rain and being on a dirt foundation. I’ve only had this catio for about seven weeks, so we’ll see. The only thing which sucks, which has nothing to do with the quality of this product, is the fact that I injured myself while prepping the dirt for the foundation because I have an orthopedic issue. Anyways, the one last piece of advice I have for a catio cat owner is that your cats are not going to immediately love the cat house the moment they enter it. I expected that and my cats were scared, meowing and peed. It takes a little while to get used to it, so introduce them just a little bit at a time and they will begin to enjoy it pretty quickly, within a couple days. So my first dream was fulfilled. My dream catio arrived and was built, as if a very early Christmas present had been fulfilled. Maybe someday my second dream will be fulfilled. I want to have a doggy door built on my patio wall and a “cat walk” or “cat tunnel” attached from doggy door to catio door, so the cats can come and go from the patio to catio freely when I am present and have the doggy door open (we live in an area with a large coyote presence so cat time in the catio is only under my supervision). ... show more

  • Perfect patio cat enclosure
Pattern Name: 31.5"D x 70.9"W x 31.5"H Gery
I will openly admit that I was intimidated by needing to build this. A previous product did not live up to its expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of assembly, the labeling of the pieces, and how quickly everything went together. In total, it took about two hours for 1 adult to assemble this. Absolutely love the fact that it is on wheels and easy to move. Love the door closures and handles. Love the two level cat doors. Love the reinforced roof. And it is very much cat approved. As noted in previous reviews, there was a very strong smell of wood when opening the packaging that resolved quickly. Now they just need to make something to fill in the gap at the top. ... show more

  • Really like this catio! Check back in one year (May 2025) for durability review update.
Really like this product and my cat loves it! He actually trots out there on his leash to go into the catio. He and his bro will like it even more as the weather improves. It took quite a bit longer than two hours to put together, but I found the directions were really helpful. The way it is put together is also very well thought out to make your life easier. Also, I was very methodical which takes more time. Overall five star immediate impression! UPDATE: I asked to purchase an extra shelf and received two in just a week with no shipping costs! Customer service was fast and so helpful. This company has been so easy and pleasant to work with. I would definitely purchase from them again. Two months later and my cat is addicted to his catio time. I love it! Materials and unpacking: It took more than an hour to unpack, confirm contents including bolts and screws, organize by wall/roof/accessories, and discard packaging. Everything was there with a few extra bolts/screws. Wood is lightweight and could definitely be thicker, but at least it is stained cedar which is resistant to rot. The door should always be closed because if it slams in the wind it might break. However, lightweight wood makes construction so much easier. Metal mesh is carefully cut to fit and points were all cut back as far as possible. I noticed a review with concerns about this. My cats don't tend to paw at such things so I'm not concerned enough to cover it with anything. I really appreciated the bolts and screws were a heavy duty yellow zinc alloy. I did not have any problems with stripping screw or bolt heads. Note, a one cm wrench is very helpful for one person to hold nuts in place while the other quickly screws in bolts. Tarp is thin but very durable and does a great job of keeping rain out. We had several hours of 25 mph winds and heavy rains today with gusts over 40mph and everything held up very well! Extras that will help: A very small latch for the inside. An eye-hook will work best because you don't have much space for regular latch. Two small/narrow handles for inside and outside of the door. If you can, a camera is a really fun add. Construction: Follow the directions in order and you should be fine. The walls and accessory edges lined up surprisingly well. The roof is the hardest part and takes some modest adjusting of the frame as you go. We didn't get all the roof braces to line up as cleanly as the wall braces did, but we made things work and I feel good about it. As you can see in the photo, overall it went together very well and looks great! Minor Issues: One of the holes in the frame wasn't drilled all the way through and just took some extra pressure and care to get the screw through straight. One of the accessory house roofs did not have the holes drilled through the stoney side. If this happens to you, carefully screw through the stoney side to finish the hole before assembly--don't push through from the underside because it will cause the stoney side to delaminate. One side of the holes on the middle roof brace lined up with the metal roof hinge so we just put in extra holes further down the roof brace. Sturdiness: The sturdiness of the whole structure really improves after putting on the roof. Make sure all of the wall footings/corners have contact with the ground for sturdiness as well. There is some wiggle when my large cat jumps onto the ledges, but it doesn't bother him at all. Be aware this is not a structure that will stand up to medium/large dogs, bears, or coyotes. Stands up to wind very well because of all the mesh that lets the wind through. Durability: Time will tell. Hopefully I'll remember to update this in a year. ... show more

  • Cheap Materials
Pattern Name: 31.5"D x 70.9"W x 31.5"H Gery
Product arrived mostly intact. In one corner of the upper door, the single screw holding the frame together sheared off during manufacture or shipping and cannot be repaired well without risking further damage to the frame, drilling out the old screw. (There is not a lot of material to work with here and it is easily damaged.) The wood used is thin, brittle and prone to splitting. Several pieces were split upon arrival, and two more during careful assembly, including on of the two door handles. The paint application is exceedingly thin. Wood grain and knots are clearly visible through the coating. A hand sprayer appears to have been used, as evidenced by the ends of some pieces that barely received any paint at all. Wood joins are loose/open and unsealed, allowing moisture or rain to penetrate into the frame where it could get trapped and cause mold or rot. The frame was sanded but many of the shelves have rough edges with long splinters protruding along each of the shelf slats. These would be high-contact areas for your pet, and splinters should have been removed prior to painting. The included wood screws are of decent quality but many holes were not fully pre-drilled as expected; others are too large. Project instructions are reasonably clear, but careful attention should be paid to orientation of parts as this is not always immediately obvious from the illustrations. In some cases, the metal screen actually blocked the screw holes and minor modifications were needed to resolve this. Recommend to sand and repaint prior to assembly. Should also add caulking or other sealant to the joints if you intend to leave this uncovered or exposed to the weather. Indoor use is probably fine with just light trimming and sanding first. This product would be especially difficult to assemble without power tools or for anyone with arthritis or other coordination issues, and virtually impossible for someone to assemble if they are around 5' tall or less. ... show more
