I bought the fountain pump to use in the pool of our circulating creek. I provides a little visual interest, but it is limited in my particular application. First, it is smaller than I had envisioned. Although I am sure the dimensions are included in the description, the photos, in my mind, gave the impression it was a little larger. It would probably perfect for a bird bath sized container, as its name implies, but in a larger pool it looks small. Second, it works only in direct sunlight. If a cloud moves across the sun, or as the sun begins to move from directly overhead, the pump begins to work intermittently, then finally not at all. On one recent cloudy day, although the sunlight was sufficient for outdoor visibility all day long, it was not bright enough to run the pump at all. Bottom Line: The pump is an interesting novelty, but it is limited in function, at least in my yard. ... show more

I got this fountain over a year ago and it still works which I think is quite impressive. The birds love it. The suction cup never worked, so I found some suggestions of using plastic hooks for hanging plants (I think that’s what it was, it’s been a while) to hold the fountain in the center of the bath and this has worked very well. The birds perch on the hooks, drink, bathe, it’s basically one big bird spa. This was well worth the money. ... show more

I just needed a little bubbler for my huge Rock bowl bird bath. As others have advised, I got some large suction cups and glued one on the back of the pump. It is down on the bottom of the Stone because of the suction cup. I didn't receive any suction cups with the order, and the straws were worthless. ... show more

Purchased two of these AISITIN 2.5W Solar Fountain Pumps in July for the bird baths in my garden. These work well to keep water moving which discourages mosquitoes from laying eggs, aerates the bath basin, and attracts wildlife. Easy to set up, clean, and maintain. Make sure to check the pump intake regularly and clean any debris that might clog the pump. The straws do a good job of keeping the fountain centered in the basin. All of the fountain spray attachments work well, just be aware that the fuller spray nozzles might blow water out of smaller bird bath. As you can see from the pictures I use the bubbler, which the birds & bees seem to prefer over the fuller spray. Overall I’m very satisfied with this purchase and would buy again. ... show more

I just set this up today and first thing I noticed was the water ran out in 18 minutes. This fountain sprays water pretty high with all the nozzles and the recommended birdbath that showed on the product page was too small. The water sprayed over the side and onto the ground and ran dry. The fountain itself works great, I just need to get a bigger birdbath so the water stays inside. On the nozzle with the most holes it sprays 18" high and wind will blow the water out of the birdbath I got. The Garbuildman 28 inch Lightweight birdbath looks round in the picture but it actually oval as seen in the included picture and this was a recommended birdbath. I tried to cover a small slice of the solar panel to reduce the output pressure on the pump but the pump doesn't work unless in direct sunlight. Even in the shade it sputters and dies. I guess I assumed just being outside in 'light' would allow this to work. Again, not the products fault, just be aware. ... show more

Cons first: Mine did not come with suction cups on the bottom of the pump, so I can't stick it down to the bottom of the birdbath, which means it floats around and ultimately the water is pumped out of the birdbath and onto the ground. Also came with some parts that were not in the instructions leaving us a bit confused, but another reviewer figured it out and shared a video which helped. Maybe the four straws are in lieu of the suction cups? Pros: Super easy to put together, with the exception of the four plastic straws that were not on the instructions. Once charged and pumping, this thing is powerful! Too powerful for the 18" x 4" birdbath that we have which means the water is pumped right out into the garden forcing us to refill the birdbath often. The birds love it though and since I stopped feeding them due to the mess they leave on my patio furniture (little poopers!) I thought a place to drink and bathe would be a nice change for them as well as the yard. ... show more

We just wanted to provide some water that was moving for our nesting birds. The pump works so well and pushes the water so high in the air that it splashes and squirts the water right out of the birdbath in under an hour. It needs a larger or wider area to sit in for sure in order to keep the water within the container. I am unsure about longevity as I can’t use it until I get a larger water feature put in. Edit: updating to add that I took all the nozzles off and just let it run and this works to keep the water in the birdbath. It’s just a steady stream now, no splashing. I just need the water to keep moving so I’m happy with it. Though now I’m thinking the water may be too hot so a solar panel with a cord so I could keep the bath in the shade may be even better. ... show more
