Well I was nervous buying this brand just to be perfectly honest. very nervous. All the other bikes that met the same criteria for specs were at least double the price. By specs i mean things like hydraulic brakes - a must. throttle and pedal assist at the same time - a must. I need versatility if i need a boost of power even from a standstill. Power. I need that. Im 250 pounds and 6 foot 5 so i need a big beasty bike thats made for my height and can handle my weight plus a backpack and whatever else i need to transport on the bike rack on any given day. Safety. Built in brake light, turn signals and headlight? Yes. Dual suspension for the unpredictable sidewalk cracks and unavoidable potholes? Yes. Let me just go ahead and do a full review since this bike surprised me with it's overall quality, which is something i didnt expect for literally half the price of all the other bikes that are checking the same boxes. The bike showed up on the first day of the estimated delivery window from the seller - always a pleasant surprise. Recieved the box in perfect condition, and the contents were all in perfect condition. Awesome. No missing parts. 90% assembled already. Had fun putting the rest together, even though the instructions on how to inflate and adjust the rear shock were completely missing from the manual. The manual also gets a negative review from me, because it misquotes the specs of the unit - a big peeve for me. 175 pounds load capacity it says. Imaging my chagrin but then I look at the bike, i pick up the bike which is 100 pounds of welded metal and I know it is way, way stronger than any bike ive ever ridden. Still, there is no excuse for that misquote being in the manual - you should really do better in that regard. Ugh. Anyway moving on, i charged the battery like the instructions said and it was ready to rock in a few hours. Let me tell you all one thing. If you are big like me this bike will make you smile. I only rode this bike one day so far - today - and 4 complete strangers at different occasions during the day stopped to ask me about it just cause its so big and looks so awesome. Not my usual experience during the day but i think I can get used to it :) Big plus in my book. Now for the nitty gritty - the battery life. Yup, it's exaggerated or I think it is based on pedal assist-only, which i guess might be fair, but dont think you are going to hit the throttle even one time and get 80 miles lol. I needed to feel the way the throttle operates so I really tested the throttle only for the first 5 miles, and i was rewarded with one battery bar out of 5 expended for it hah. Then i set out for a long 10 mile test commute to see how it would hold up getting me to work. This was the scary part because i forgot to bring the charger with me (ok, honestly i didn't think i'd need it from the advertising lol) but halfway there (a total of 10 miles since i first started testing the bike) i was down to.. wait for it..... 2 bars. After stopping on the bike trail to take in the possibility that my new bike wasnt going to be able to get me back home and imagining the scathing review i was gonna give it for that, I remembered one of the many youtube videos i watched while researching this bike and turned the bike off. turned it back on and four bars. OK so its a little janky but better than a true 2 bars. Moving on i still decided to turn around and head back to my neighborhood and ride around there in case this unit decided to go dead on me. Went everywhere ive never been, then went more places, then went to walmart, then a bike shop for a new seat - which reminds me... You might as well just get a new seat right now. you're welcome. I wont say anything else about it. OUCH Ok i guess ouch is saying something else about it, but it needed to be said. Holy smokes that seat hurt. While im thinking about it, also you want to keep the bicycle tool bag with the bike at all times because after you first tighten all the screws.. just like breaking in new shoes some of those screws need to be re tightened at least once or they will magically fall off the bike. Not the factory screws mind you - only the ones you deal with when finishing the installation. Bike shop replaced a wayward fender screw and gel seat. Aaaaaaaah. My butt is no longer in pain. Im just gonna be brutally honest here, i normally wouldn't admit something like this but it just feels really cool riding this thing. Everybody looks at you zipping around and you are just having a blast while everybody else is paying insurance, gas, and parking. One year of riding this instead of the bus pays for the bike so my only other criteria for this bike to really be a 5 star bike is if it lasts me till at least next year... Which is why this is the end of my review for now. If after a year it has served reasonably well I will return to give it a final thumbs up or down with a detailed explanation of why. But for now, this bike has surpassed all my expectations (except battery life lol. Im gonna test it with full pedal assist and im pretty sure i wont feel the need to come back here about the results being maybe 60 miles at best. Last and final thought. Would I buy it again? Oh hell yeah. so far anyway. Would I prefer a 2 thousand dollar bike with the same specs and a cool brand name that checks all the same boxes? Only if it showed up in the same perfect condition, assembled as easy, and made as much random good impressions on everybody as this one did, and is BIG and sturdy as this one is. Ok you get what you pay for and seriously I would buy another one: Really well made, quality components not exactly highest end but pretty good quality. For a new rider heading into my upper 60s I really enjoy it. Handles well, it speeds up easily 30+ mph, I’ve reached a top speed of 36.5 mph. Rides on the beach on the hard packed and simi soft sand really nice. I tried to research all the brands and there are better. But if you want a well made all terrain bike with very good components it well worth it. I am making a few upgrades like front and rear heavy duty utility baskets and Pannier bags. I changed out the twist power throttle to a thumb operated throttle which is so much easier. Still waiting for new side mirrors, I added a phone mount holder to the steering wheel. The bike in my opinion is definitely is a competitor to the higher name brands. ... show more

Based on the price point and how expensive these bikes can get I wasn't expecting a lot from this bike at this price. Wow I was wrong. This thing is a beast. Now for some real world specs, I just got back from a 21 mile ride mostly off road but flat bumpy terrain. Used PA 3-4 most of the time and tried my best to rarely use the throttle. Returned to the house with 1 bar left on the battery still not an issue and it was 90 degrees out. I'm 6'3" and this bike fits like a glove and I have unusually long legs with a 36" inseam. The bike is extremely well built and heavy so be careful when at top speed as you can't easily toss it around like typical mountain bikes. Setup is easy and removing the speed limiter is also very easy. The Hydraulic brakes are the best. I even went though a few mud puddles and the fenders kept me clean. ... show more

I bought this e bike reading the description what it has it has all the bells and whistles. And seeing that the battery was UL rated but now that it is not I’m kind of scared of it. Is it going to catch on fire. Is safe to leave it alone at the house. So I give it a one star nice built bike but misleading the customer by saying it is UL rated safe.
