I'm old, I have bad knees and I don't enjoy gardening except on raised bed gardens. The Aimerla K5 Foldable Garden Kneeler/Seat is a great tool to reduce the effort of working close to the ground. For me, this tool is replacing a molded plastic kneeler/seat that flexes when kneeling/standing and does not fold when not being used. The K5 only requires the two legs to be folded out to take it from it's compact storage size to it's seat/kneeler configuration. The legs positively lock in place when fully opened. When open, the unit is completely rigid. There is no sway or wobble when I kneel or rise - and I am a tall 230 pounds. Squeeze a single release for each leg and the legs fold easily back to the flat folded position for efficient storage. It comes with a foam pad that can be strapped into place on either the kneeling surface or the seat surface. The cushion can be left in place while the seat is folded if it is strapped on the seat side of the platform. It must be removed to fold the unit if it is used on the kneeling surface in order for the legs to fully fold flat. If the seat cushion is left on the seat surface and the unit is used for kneeling, the small plastic buckles on the retaining straps can be felt on the knees. However, the seat/kneeler surfaces are already covered with 3/8 inch dense foam pads that are adequate for comfort without using the foam pad. For extended seating or kneeling, the foam pad is very useful for additional comfort. I am most impressed by the solid construction of this seat/kneeler. The steel tubing is heavy gauge, the tubing welds are well made, the leg latching mechanisms are simple, but heavy duty and the plastic used for handles and chair leg pads are all heavy gauge and rigid. This is not a tool that will be discarded after one season because of cracked pieces or components bending with repeated heavy use. This has been a lifesaver out in the garden! While I have raised beds, let's be honest they are still pretty low to the ground and that really wears on the back! This has been such a great item to have that allows me to get on my knees and tend my beds regularly without the aches and pains. I also love that it can be used as a bench as I do have some higher raised beds around my porch and flipping this around to a bench has been helpful in those times. I also like to use it as a bench when I want to pop a squat quickly and have conversation. Sturdy and durable. This is very lightweight and easy to carry around my garden with me. When I'm not using it, it's easy to fold away and put out of the way so no one is tripping or running into it. Also appreciate the bag and pouches on this as I am able to take all the items I need for my garden that day with me and not have to make multiple trips back and forth grabbing this or that. This Aimerla K5 Foldable Garden Kneeler is a real help for anyone who spends a lot of time in the garden. * It is somehow both lightweight and sturdy. * I find it comfortable for kneeling and my elderly mother finds it comfortable for sitting. * There is plenty of room on it to keep tools handy. * Although we are entering a cold time with less gardening, it is still helpful for pruning and preparing garden beds for springtime. I'm sure it will get lots of use when the weather warms up again. I didn't think I needed this but I am really glad I got it! ... show more

I picked this up to do yard work. It’s very light to carry and easy to unfold. The construction reminded me of a lawn chair. I’m around 180 pounds and this little seat holds my weight nicely. The adjustable seat pad is comfortable for both sitting and kneeling. This kit came with some great accessories such as a tool pouch that hands on the support, a rubber gardening gloves, and a tool tote to carry some of my gardening tools. My only con about this sitting / kneeling seat, some of my end cap support had some plastic stress marks. Hopefully this stress marking will not crack over time. ... show more

I like this product; it requires no assembly (other than putting the detachable pad on depending on if you want to use it as a bench or a kneeler). It is easy to open or collapse to carry it. Granted, the price is somewhat more than other comparable models, but it does seem to be high quality, so I am willing to say that the one offsets the other (quality and price I mean). Well I live in the northeast and ordered this is November so I have a long wait until I can actually use it. But I opened and closed it, checked out the pad, sat on it, etc and I love it! It’s going to make planting a lot easier. For years I have been using a foam knee pad, which helps, but I still have to get up and down, shove the pad over a few inches, and all my tools, get back down and repeat. It gets tiring now that I’m older with not great knees. This is so well thought out and well made and I look forward to using it as soon as I can ... show more

Overall this is a great for kneeling or sitting to do various projects. My wife uses it for gardening and I have used it while working on car brakes. It is really sturdy and I did not feel like it was going to collapse due to my weight or anything. The pad that is on there is also comfy so it helps when you need to kneel for long periods of time, however, the knees will still ache. Nothing will stop that... lol My only complaint is the little garden bag that sit over the side of the bars does not get secured so it falls off easily when you are getting up and bump it. No assembly is required with this lightweight foldable seat, and it is well made using quality material that snaps and locks into place.
