The instructions are unclear, the alignment is maddening, and getting them on correctly took way more time and effort than it ever should have. And after all that? These magnetic locks can do a decent job of keeping out toddlers when they're installed correctly. The installation instructions are not the best, but luckily I have installed a number of this exact type of baby proofing before, so I knew how it worked already. With that knowledge, these only take a minute or two to install. Without it, things would have been a good bit more confusing. Compared to the other ones I've used, these don't feel quite as durable, and as others have mentioned, the adhesive seems questionable. So far it's held up, but my two year old hasn't put her full strength into trying to break in just yet. As far as the value goes, these are a pretty good deal if you only need a couple drawers/cabinets secured.

- Easy concept and installs quickly, no drilling needed - Magnet works fine when aligned properly - Adhesive is very weak, kept falling off after a short time - Not reliable for long term childproofing, needs reattaching - Would only work if you replace with stronger tape or screws Overall, good idea but poor adhesive makes it unreliable and not worth it as is.

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. doesn't stick and when you get one of them to it just pulls off. My toddler ripped it off first try. Pain to install not durable. Doesn't function like advertised. Would give a 0 if I could

Installation was moderately tricky. You first need to attach the flat piece to the cabinet where the latch will align, then look through the other door (if there is one) and line up the latch piece using the alignment bracket. Make sure the height is correct. If the surfaces are properly cleaned, the pieces stay in place. However, they do not hold well on uneven surfaces, like some non coated particleboard cabinets. These installation challenges are similar for most clean look cabinet locks, so if that is a must, dress light for some sweat. I like that it comes with a magnetic holder for the puck and that there is a switch to disable the latch if you want the cabinet unlocked. The clean design is nice, and the magnetic unlocking feels a little magical. Even adults unfamiliar with the puck can be puzzled at first. One thing to keep in mind is that if the lock is installed with tight clearance, you may need to press the door a bit to lock or unlock it. My main gripe is that having to use the puck every time gets annoying over time, especially if it is not always returned to its holder. There are many other baby proofing options with a clean look that rely on muscle memory instead of a separate tool, which can be easier for everyday use while still keeping cabinets secure. This is good choice if you like the sleek, modern look and don’t mind the puck routine, but not the most convenient for frequent access.

I recentlytried the AILUOQI Baby Proofing Magnetic Cabinet Locks, and while they are a decent option, I find them just okay. The locks are relatively easy to install and do provide a level of safety for curious little ones. However, the key mechanism can be a bit finicky at times, and I wish the locks felt a bit more secure. Overall, they work, but I think there are better options out there for baby-proofing cabinets.

The only positive thing I can really say about these child safety cabinet locks is the price. They are inexpensive. Unfortunately, that low price also reflects the overall quality. They are very cheaply made, and the installation process was extremely frustrating from the start. The instructions are incredibly difficult to understand. The only directions provided are printed on the outside of the tiny box, making them very small, hard to read, and even harder to interpret. Trying to get everything lined up and installed turned into a huge headache, and honestly, I gave up before even putting them on. I may try again at some point, but at this stage I’m leaning more toward just giving them away. I was very disappointed overall, as this product was not at all what I expected. If you’re looking for something simple and easy to install, I would probably suggest looking at other options.

I bought this to secure the dresser doors in my babies nursery. Once she started to learn how to open doors she would open them up and start taking things out and throwing them on the floor. No more! The installation was easy, the magnet is strong and so is the adhesive. I tried yanking on the doors a few times and it didn’t budge. This is a must have to keep babies from getting into things.
