I have actually used this product multiple times. I have used it to repair a couple of extension cords as well as the block heater plug on my tow truck. They work very well, and are stupid simple to install. They are accurately color coded as to where your wires go. The only complaint i do have is that the plug I installed on the tow truck, the LED has stopped working, though I've seen no other failures. I highly recommend these, especially if you are looking to add a lighted indicator to your power cord.

For the cost, these are decent. Those of us that live in the world of the reality of heavy construction, here's the downside. They're put together well, come ready for wire (screws backed out) and align easily. But the plastic is to brittle. Probably fine for Joe hobbiest..but if your use to Leviton, etc, these are not on the same playing field. For the money.. a good buy. But for industry, the ROI for time spent, and probably having to redo later, is a no go. I wouldn't take the chance
