I've been using amazon for almost 15 years now, and never written a review for any product ever. But this device has now changed that. I can't even begin to describe how useful this has been in my daily life. You would think that with voice recorders on smartphones that something like this would be redundant, but there is something about the simplicity of simply having to press down on the device for a moment and then just start talking, instead of having to pull your phone out, unlock it, and then find the right app, and then push a button and start talking. Even if you've remapped a button on your phone to voice record, this is still a much easier and quicker way to take note of your thoughts, and since you're wearing it using one of the provided attachments, it's always easily accessible. And that's not even mentioning the AI integration of this device. The ability to recognize multiple speakers and group ideas and thoughts into well organized mind-maps and layouts has been invaluable to me. I've tried countless note-taking systems using regular paper, e-ink tables, laptops, and this device is far superior, at least for me, and is also easy to integrate into existing systems since it obviously converts your words into text to be used any way you want later. I was impressed by the build quality as well. Solid metal, and very apple like. The battery life is also very impressive at about 18 hours of continuous recording on a full charge. I usually only have to charge mine once every two weeks. Even the wearable accessories are of good quality. I normally use the silicone wrist band and find it very comfortable to wear all day. Even the companies customer service is outstanding. I had an issue where my device wasn't charging at all, so I sent support an email and a video of me showing what it was doing and immediately they sent me a replacement which arrived within 2 business days. I highly recommend this device if you're looking for a more efficient way to organize your cluttered mind, or are just interested in Artificial Intelligence capabilities. The 300 minutes of free AI transcriptions per month is more than enough for my daily use, but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase their unlimited plan, especially after knowing how excellent their customer support is. I look forward to seeing what products this company has in store for the future.

Rewriting my review. I applaud Plaud's rapid turn around on diagnosing support logs and issuing a firmware update within days. I even credit support by reaching out, owning the poor initial treatment, and committing to do better. The product does work well and is surprisingly accurate. Now that fast transfer works, it's definitely useful. I'm withholding a point due to the initial quality issue. I'll reevaluate other responses in the future to ensure that they're defining and executing good test plans I wear it while walking. As such, I'm listening to research papers read to me by Speechify. As I have thoughts, I simply speak the quote or my thoughts. This is all hands free. At the end of my walk, I download my notes, transfer the transcript and reference to my notes. I can consume 45 pages in a 5 mile walk while keeping my eyes focused my safety. This is certainly a game changer!

Purchased this device as an addition to the PLAUD note for the smaller form factor and multiple attachments. Powered on, paired and tested and the device worked amazing… until it did not. Found the device recording multiple times (on and off charger) and even while sitting on desk with nothing touching it. Thought it was an issue but wanted to give it a chance… this continued recording 6-15 minutes and then doing it again and again. The device activated and recorded conversations it was not meant to and they were loading to the cloud with the WiFi connection. I was doing maintenance to clean out my recordings 2-4x a day. Did the software update and it seemed to fix the issue. It didn’t unfortunately. I attempted to use it to record a one hour session and the light stayed red the entire time, but when I went to review the recording found that it only recorded bits and was starting and stopping itself. I put the device in a hard storage box and inside my desk, when I went to take it home found it active again and finally reached out to support (as I have completed all the help files on the app and online). They were quick to respond, but wanted to check the software. (Software, Serial Number and all other questions they asked were in the support form which are required fields). I sent back screen shots of the device software and received a message back 3 days later saying they were going to reach out to someone to get more info to help fix the issue. Radio silence after that, I sent another email stating that it’s becoming an invasion of my privacy, could cause issues for me at work and needed to be fixed or I would need to return the device. Still nothing. I finally was fed up and sent it back via Amazon and then received an email telling me to send it to them but I needed to take pictures of the entire unit before sending it back, that they would only send me a return label after they approved the images and would refund me (even though I DIDN'T BUY IT FROM THEM). Battery Life was not great (due to it activating and recording when it wanted). The size was amazing (although a bit smaller than I thought it would be. The value of this device if it worked, would be priceless that’s for sure! The device activating - recording conversations (and only sections of them) both when you did and didn’t want it to is a solid NO for me. Support for this product via the app was a joke, they didn’t pay attention to details sent (emails sent back and forth were quick and detailed) but the agent or whomever showed how much the company values their product by not even paying attention to the details provided. PLAUD NotePin is a solid zero stars and I wish I could have given it an actual shot. Save yourself the money and go with the PLAUD Note, it’s been a game changer for me and my life and I have had zero issues with it. To The Company: PLAUD If you’re going to offer a product ensure it works but even more so value those whom are reporting issues. I stated I would write this review and you still didn’t even attempt to help fix your products clear violation of the users rights. I hope that someone from the companies corporate office sees this review and finds better solutions to their support and faster response times to their new product defects.

The device has been a lifesaver. From recording notes for inspections, meetings, to personal to do lists. The only issue is having the device start recording randomly from carrying it around in my pocket. I just have to figure out a better way to carry it around I believe. Customer service has been fantastic at helping me navigate that though.
