Great printer for our 9/10 year old. Uploaded the app to our ipad. A lot of preloaded items easy for our son to print on his own. Multiple other websites have free items you can download and print also. Loading and unloading the filament is easy. You can only print in 1 color at a time but the filament can easily be colored with acrylic markers and our son has fun coloring the items afterwards. We have even used the feature where you take a picture of a drawing and print it out. Highly recommend.

Used for 2 weeks then the filament detector stopped working. The AI function is very basic and often doesn't work. The app crashes very often if the 3d model is bigger than 4 inches. When printing, it stops printing with a simple error warning but it doesn't say why, and it will not continue to print. The PC app will not install on Windows since it is not certified by Microsoft Windows so Windows OS blocks it. Therefore you will ended up using the phone app only but the phone app crashes...I have since bought another brand and happier ever since.

Great first 3d printer for kids. My 10 year old figured it out very fast and can print whatever she wants on her own including loading the spools etc. The app is pretty good. Lots of things for the kids to choose from. You can also upload files to print things. Only downer is that you stuck with the one color for the whole print but still really neat for kids to get into 3d printing!

I’ve been using the AOSEED X-MAKER AI+ 3D Printer for Kids & Beginners Fully Assembled Auto Leveling for home and beginner-level printing, and overall it’s a very accessible entry into 3D printing. The fact that it comes fully assembled and includes auto leveling makes setup much easier compared to traditional printers. Print speed is impressive for its category, and the included PLA filament pack is helpful for getting started right away. The AI features and mini apps also make it more approachable for kids and beginners who are new to 3D modeling and printing. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that, despite being beginner-friendly, there is still a learning curve when it comes to print settings, file preparation, and getting consistently perfect results. It also works best when you take time to understand material behavior and calibration. Overall, this is a solid beginner 3D printer that balances ease of use with capable performance. With a more fully “plug-and-play” experience for all print types, it would easily be a 5-star product.
