It has a fan and it technically "air conditions" in a very broad sense (basically it takes water from the bottom of it, and mists that water out onto you with the fan.) I have issues with this process because, how am I supposed to stay cool in the summer as I'm working on my laptop? That mist eventually coats items nearby with water droplets. I see that as a potential hazard. It's pretty easy to work with overall. Function is good for what it is. I feel like it's pretty cheaply built, but, I mean, that's kinda what a person would expect from this cheap of a model. Basically if you don't mind being softly misted with water over time, or if you want a soft fan (even at its highest no-water fan settings), this fan is for you. Took a chance on this one among the many brands available. Perfect for bedside when to here’s no AC in the bedroom. I have it on a stool near the head of my bed and direct it onto my face. The mist is light and disappears in our dry dry climate. Lasts through the night, mist is gone by the early dawn when outside temps have cooled off anyway.
