    • Perfect Asset for installing Honda Civic Speakers
Needed to replace my 2007 Honda Civic Speakers and they have these hook and single bolt construction designs in both the door and the back seats. I didn’t want to have to deal with the challenge of possibly drilling holes when seating new speakers so I went with these. They just worked great. I used some JVC 6” speakers, took the grills off, and then attached them to these supports. One hole aligned cleanly, the others (2 locations) I pre drilled a hole to attach the speaker to the tabs and then screwed them down solid. They were secure and ready to mount. Took the panel off my door, removed the old speakers, connected the new speakers, aligned the two tabs to slide the speaker in the door and reattached the primary securing screw. Was able to install both door speakers in less than 30 minutes and I’ve never worked with car audio before. If you want your install to get a little easier when replacing your speakers with ones that aren’t Honda branded and you have one of these Civic models, this will definitely save you time and make the install a lot easier and more secure without having to modify the door hardware.     • These work, but could be better
I used these in my 2015 Honda Pilot and they fit. However, I screwed them in the bottom by drilling new holes and attaching with screws that I had to prevent them from rattling (others used foam tape according to reviews). I used these with 6-3/4" speakers and some sites say they fit and some do not. Basically, they do not fit unless you drill new holes. Then even with drilling new holes, they barely fit the 6-3/4 speakers. I would recommend you just use 6-1/2" speakers and I assume they would fit perfectly. I do think these would work better if they had some foam or rubber attached to both sides of this adapter, as other reviewers have suggested. ... show more

Shopping List: • Metra 72-7800 Speaker Connector [$6] – • Sound Dampening - Noico 80 mil 10 sqft car Sound Deadening Mat [$22] • Pioneer TS-A1686R A-Series 6.5" [$48] - (Great sounding speakers, even with a pretty weak OEM stereo, You can get an equalizer on your media device to greatly makeup for some extra bass/volume, and speed up the break in period. The bass is much cleaner than the crappy OEM speaks, not as boomy, because they aren’t boomy, they likely, won’t be boom heavy as the crap OEM speakers. Given more power/and an equalizer w/ bass boost, you can get a LOT more performance out of these speakers, than OEM. ***These speakers will not sound that great before they are broken in!*** Very clean mids and Treble! Now I need to replace the front 6.5s….. LOL..) If you want massive bass, buy a sub! These speakers can handle amazing bass without distorting, but can rattle your car with the massive sound, even with dampening!  • Honda Speaker Adapter (Ai HSB524 2006-2011) [$8] – Worked like a charm! I used a little dampening mat to keep them more snug feeling against the rear deck. The screw in holes did not align perfectly due to the speakers being a little large (possibly also rated for 6.75?) , so I just spent $2 at Home Depot and got 2" cabinet bolts, small washers on top and lock washers, and the nut on bottom. Super easy!! Don't over tighten! • Spare Trim clips [$8] – I was very careful and still ended up breaking two.. Might be the determining factor whether you finish the project today or not… Good luck! :) and make sure you have 3 hours or so without interruption for all the 2016 Honda Civic panel removal/install. I had nice JBL 6.5" speakers I wanted to put in 2007 Honda Accord front door. Both Amazon and a big car audio company recommend this "Ai HSB524 2006-2011". Thankfully the Amazon reviews were informative to tell me that the package and description to not match the documentation inside the package (see photo). The adapter was really made for 2008-2012 Accord. You can see the mismatch in the tabs that lock into the door. 2003-2007 Accord are all the same door and speaker, so I looked up 2005 Accord at amazon and big car audio company. It recommends the Scosche SASCN656 Speaker Mounting Brackets. When you read those reviews, it tells you 6.5" speaker won't fit even though it advertises it will. So... I bought the Ai HSB524 2006-2011 knowing that it would not fit exactly and would need some modification. I watched several helpful youtube videos to learn how to remove the door, but none showed how to put in adapter to fit a 6.5" speaker. They show hack to original speaker, cutting it out and using carcass remains to mount a 5.5" speaker, but 6.5" won't fit. I uploaded pictures to show the modification needed for 2003-2007 Accord. Pay attention to the SAFETY note in my picture about gloves and goggle using Dremel when cutting door piece to avoid having it hit the speaker. I skipped gloves and a long piece of plastic started whipping around the Dremel and cut my hand pretty good. Take your time and do it safely. I hope these pictures help the next person doing this install. The 6.5 JBL GX 602's made an AMAZING difference in the sound using stock radio. The magnets are like 4" around while the stock Honda speakers are 1" around. The JBL's weigh like 5x more than stock. So, it's worth the time to do the upgrade. ... show more

Fit like a glove, my speakers were a little larger so I broke the tabs off on the inside of the adapter and gained enough room for a swift install.
