We have an older fridge without ice making abilities, and this was the perfect solution. We have had ours a couple years now and no issue! It's running 24/7, and continues to produce ice without issue (sometimes, the ice stays up high even though other ice below it has melted. There must be a sensor that, when the ice falls down below a certain level, it starts producing it again, so it stops it from making more ice when the basket could definitely hold more. I just knock it down and no problem. It starts making more ice. The unit has a very nice streamline appliance look to it, and is built well. No parts have broken or quit working. We have been happy with the quality of this ice maker, especially for the cost! When the water runs low we just take a big (BIG) cup or two of water and pour it down into the water well, and it keeps making ice. It's really pretty easy to use. It's not high maintenance, and my daughters friend loves the bullet ice from it so much - we got her one for Christmas! That was a surprise but a GREAT surprise!!! She loves it! Side note: when cleaning it and running vinegar water through it to clean, take as much of it apart as you can to get any 'ice maker slime' out. This is something that happens in ALL ice makers. I don't care what you say. It's a fact. If you have a sink water sprayer, get the unit close to the sink edge, and spray the water from your hand held water sprayer, into areas (where the bullet ice is being made, in the bottom of the water reservoir. I even removed the cage like grill and was able to put it back on). For tricky spots you might see some gray ice slime near the bullet making area - I use a soft pain brush to get back into the hard to reach areas when I'm giving it a deep clean. Always finish up with a vinegar water cycle. This helps keep the water content fresh and clean.

I live in a remote tropical environment, and ice was available only by filling ice trays and waiting a day for a limited supply of cubes. The Aglucky icemaker has been a lifesaver for those steamy days when an ice cold drink was needed asap. It has operated flawlessly since purchase. I can make a day's worth of bullet ice with minimal intervention (adding water, emptying the basket), which I store in my tiny freezer, in just a few hours. UPDATE: While the principal ice making function continues to be excellent, the "Low Water Level" and "Ice Full" indicators no longer light up. Ice making does cease, however, when tray is full or water level is low. My requests for service have been ignored, so 0 stars now for service.

This thing is a MACHINE. Pun absolutely intended. Our whole family is in love! I went with this bullet ice maker due to two factors 1) we always run out of ice halfway during the day. 2) the bullet ice machines are half the cost of the nugget ice machines. I had realllyyyy wanted the nugget machine due to the fact that I like to crunch on ice. But it just wasn’t in the budget. This though? Right out of the machine this ice is perfectly crunchable. In our home setting it pumps out a load of small ice every seven minutes. Large every ten minutes. Note: the water reservoir is small. Though I don’t mind. It also is not refrigerated. It makes the ice. It dumps it into the bucket. The ice starts melting. The melt drips back into the water reservoir.

This icemaker is a great back up when your freezer-based ice maker is too slow. This machine does make ice quickly, but the ice, once in the basket, does melt quickly if you don't remove and freeze it right away. This unit is still going strong after years of use/storage/use.

I have had this ice maker for 5 months. I bought it for my husband's birthday. At first it was great! It made ice fast, we have a water softener in our house and used the Britta as well. Our little ice machine was super practical for making cocktails, keeping our water cold, and more. It was fast, it worked great. It was a dream come true. Then one day, all of the sudden and out of the blue, it started to make a noise. It usually makes a noise but this time it was louder with a vengeance, and this time ... we didn't get ice. The little prongs, that are supposed to be super cold where the ice gets made, were all of the sudden warm. No matter what we tried those prongs stayed warm. We watched the machine (now nicknamed "Richard the non working d**k") try to make ice but to no avail. We tried cleaning it, we tried leaving it to rest for a while, unplugging it for a couple of days in case he needed a vacation from us. However nothing worked. No need to despair, I thought! We've only had it for a few months, I am sure the seller will come to our rescue! Oh how was I wrong! We contacted them but found ourselves like Richard waiting for his prongs to cool down, to no avail. The prongs remained warm, my mailbox remained empty. Our hopes slowly faded away of getting any help. Today I reluctantly grabbed my phone to leave this review, after gently petting Richard before permanently unplugging him. We had a funeral in his honor and then the grim reaper came to claim his soul. As if he never came into our lives, he was gone, disappeared without leaving a trace. Our hearts are heavy that we had to say goodbye so soon but my fingers are busy warning fellow buyers of our heart break. Do not make the same mistake we did of falling in love with your own Richard to then have to forcefully take the electricity away from them... permanently. Durability: 0 Value for money: broke our poor hearts. RIP Richard!
